December 28, 20205 yr We gifted them the point. Why does Lampard play Christensen, as if Zouma couldn't play at all? Naive as f**k I say, we looked good in the first half, could have scored more but a sucker punch is bound to happen when Christensen is there...

I don't buy that, we had worse players last season and even at the start of this season with all the injuries.

December 28, 20205 yr Huffed and puffed, Havertz looked very composed, Pulisic and Chilwell oozed class.

This is a Villa team who have batter both Arsenal and Liverpool this season. Frank made enough changes which everyone was crying out for so not sure where the criticism is coming from. On its own it's a decent result, but in the context of the last 5 games it's concerning. With City next we could soon find ourselves further sliding down the table.
December 28, 20205 yr Frank doesn’t have any other plans. Werner is f**king awful. Another Torres/Morata on our hands
December 28, 20205 yr Don't think I've ever seen a player dive quite as much as Grealish does. Even their goal came about because he attempted to dive and win a freekick and fouled Christensen.

Ruined him, Jesus??he was on for 20 minutes as well not 10 - but yes I expect him to hit the target from 10 yards out, as you love to harp on about. He’s a 30 goal a season striker, should be hitting the target. Especially in his favourite position which according to you, automatically improves a player! Yes he played around 20 minutes and you expect him to automatically come back in form after being wasted for over 600 minutes on the wing. You're clueless.

December 28, 20205 yr Why are people surprised at our inconsistency we are a young & new squad and we are literally playing games every few days with limited time on the training ground. Cut the team and manager some slack.

Worst thing is that we are getting left behind for Top 4 by a lot of teams. United are ahead of us with two games in hand, City the same, Everton, Leicester, Southampton, Tottenham are all ahead or likely ahead after the round is over. It's starting to get dramatic for the season, no two ways about it. It’s looking really bad and to think a few weeks ago we were high flying and in the top three.

December 28, 20205 yr That lost against Everton shook the player's belief more than I thought. We desperately need a break to halt this patchy form.
December 28, 20205 yr Can we please end the Sarri comparisons? They misrepresent both our current football and “Sarriball”.... which by the way wasn’t always bad or dull. So much selective memory.
December 28, 20205 yr Decent game of football. Could have gone either way but a draw probably a fair result. We looked so much better with CHO, Pulicic and Mount all linking up well with a striker who doesn't keep falling over. We still lack goals from midfield and with no Silva or Zouma, didn't look threatening at all from corners. Would have been some winner had Chilwell's late volley gone in but Villa came close too so not unhappy with a draw.

Grealish, Kane, Salah, Fernandes, Mane, the 5 biggest cheats in the league and none of them get called out for it. Why have we gone from criticising these types of players to praising them and calling them "clever" ? Maybe it's because a lot of modern football pundits are coming from the era of football where they all played with players like this and seen it as normal.
