January 27, 20215 yr With Silva and Rudiger as our playmakers we'll certainly continue struggling in the 2nd half. Was there one accurate long ball from them? Apart from Kova we've been dreadful in midfield once again, Havertz seems to have lost all his confidence and Jorginho is, well...being Jorginho. Anyway, we better hope CHO can do something and Tammy gets subbed in.
January 27, 20215 yr Lots of passes. Lots of possession. Not much else. No meaningful chance created for the first half... I'm getting flashbacks to Sarri-ball...
January 27, 20215 yr First 10 minutes we were excellent. I didn't expect much from one training, to play like Tuchel wants is taking time. But finally we move like a unit, players don't press lonely. Kovacic is our best player so far, running the game. Hudson Odoi is our best attacker so far, but it sometimes I can't see the 3-4-3 formation because defensive CHO doesn't track back. Let's hope we will find the net in the second half, COME ON CHELS!
January 27, 20215 yr Everything coming through CHO at the moment, Chilwell has been pretty poor, still not a £50m player for me, but left wing back makes him look very average. Giroud has been sloppy with ball, keeps bouncing off him. Build up is still too slow though, there was a moment we won the ball back on about 40 mins, half way line, and jorginho and Kovacic played 4 3 yard passes to each other and let wolves get back behind the ball. so frustrating to watch. I like how Ziyech and Havertz are being used, i like CHO on the right, but we need more quality to get the 3 pointsin the second half.
January 27, 20215 yr I’d respect him if he tries a totally different team and set up second half. I don’t fancy a play it safe manager but I think people are being harsh in him. They say he plays a style between klopp and pep so hopefully he sing out up with this dude way passing nonsense either
January 27, 20215 yr Author Ok forget the instant reaction, i still hold out for the bounce to come, just not this game.

He looked shockingly bad then and now looks like a decent premier league player. We just have to hope he can find a way to positively influence games now that we have a new manager.

Chilwell has done his best job so far fully passing backwards as soon as Havertz made a run into space so they don't work together there. Chilwell Hasn't Worked Well With Pulisic Or CHO When They've Played On The Wing When Lamps Was Manager, He Doesn't Look For Forward Runs

January 27, 20215 yr I've been quite busy with stuff so I've missed the first half, what's it lookin' like?
January 27, 20215 yr Hard to get your ideas across in one session but hopefully he can give them a kicking to move quicker and make runs in behind as this doesn't seem any different to last few matches
January 27, 20215 yr We actually looked relatively energetic in the first 15-20 minutes, then seemed to fall back into old habits (or possibly were just knackered). Wolves' complete and total lack of ambition is certainly contributing to the somewhat sleepy quality of the game. I don't think having our two incisive runners at wing-back is particularly helping (nor is Chilwell having a stinker). I also don't think Giroud is well suited to this sort of system. Still, it's half time and we are certainly dominating the game, even if we don't particularly look like winning it. Alonso to bag the winner off the bench!

I wouldn't mind but he has not even been put under any sort of pressure whatsoever. People like to pretend that Jorginho is this special unique player, but there is nothing special or unique about him. He's just doing what Mikel used to constantly get criticised for.

Havertz has been much better, showed signs in his last outing though more involved today thought for one moment he might create a moment of magic.
