Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*

Featured Replies

We can not, I repeat, CAN NOT, go into the season without midfield enforcements.

Kovacic and Kante both injured = game over. Gallagher cannot play in a pivot and Jorginho will get brushed aside with ease.

Tuchel will be risking his job if this is the case.

Dear Tommy

Please drop the ludicrous chase for Anthony, and get Frankie de jong, we need a mobile ball player in the middle , like Odegaard for Arsenal, by all means get Aubameyang, as he is more of a threat than Mount and Havertz combined, do not sell Trev, let Conor, lil Billy, go on loan.

Work out who to keep out of Puli and Ziyech, sell the other trash not needed

cheers Mart

I suppose he addressed quite of few of the usual complaints today then.

Players in their natural positions, back four, record number of academy lads in the starting XI and attacking football. Gallagher almost toppled the entire plan but thankfully we showed enough grit and fight to pull through and get three hugely important points.

Come on you know why De Jong is not coming. Barca have been begging to sell him but he won't leave.

We need a midfield signing for sure but it is not happening. Fofana is coming, Auba maybe, Gordon very unlikely. Nobody else will come in imo, bar youngsters.

In his interview with sky Sports TT has not gone easy on Conor for his dumb choice, nor or the team for how awful we are at set peices:

"

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel says his side conceded far too many chances in the last 15 minutes and were lucky to take away all three points

Despite seeing his team hold on for victory, Tuchel was in no mood to let Gallagher off the hook after the match, saying: "Today he is responsible for what he did and he knows this was a huge mistake.

"It's a very, very bad decision from Conor and of course he's upset - everyone was upset because it almost killed the whole match."

Tuchel also aimed criticism at his team as a whole for allowing an attacking corner to be turned into a Leicester counter-attack, which led to Gallagher's second yellow card.

"It's not purely his fault," said Tuchel. "It's sloppy how we take set pieces at the moment - we lack belief and we lack precision.

"It's not good enough how we take set pieces and on top of it we give chances away and are sloppy in the coverage, we are bad in decision-making.

"We have to stop this immediately. We are on this with the team and I don't know why it happened again."

Despite the win with ten men Tuchel looked reserved and spoke without joy post match. I think the red card really bothered him,  not in particulary for Conor moreover the fact it destroyed his tactical plan. He sees it quite different.

Yeah he was not pleased and rightly so. I am glad he is not letting the win paper over the cracks. We worked hard but we blew up tactically and against almost any other PL side we lose or draw this game and he knows that.

Hopefully he sees the need to change midfield. Jorgis days are number as he is getting on, Kante and Kova are made of glass. We need their replacements now.

Also probably the fact we’ve had a daft red card 2 weeks on the trot.

I couldn't watch the last game but apparently we played a different system! How did we look?

Hopefully Tuchel has realised that we need a plan B to make opposition think twice how to play us.

Fab said we are really pushing for De Jong. Personally I can’t see it but you never know.

We did look different but the red card before min 30' made the match more unique so it's a bit hard to analyze, it's a formation that we definitely can play and specially if Kovacic is back now. We could have scored more, but same can be said for Leicester as they did step up in the final 20 minutes or so. Leicester defense was very high up the pitch and Sterling, Havertz and Cucurella looked better than in the previous matches.

And yes this is the platform to give your opinion, and my opinion is your opinion is wrong 😅

Now that's just childish mate, so apparently any opinion that doesn't coincide with your own is wrong? Seems you take any criticism of Tuchel way too personal.

Taking into consideration everything the man has dealt with in the last 12 months he's done well meeting the minimum requirements of the job top 4. That doesn't mean any of the points against his football are invalid. He's been here for 18+ months none of the issues magically appeared over night. We have regularly over this time period played dull football. We have also played some exhilarating football, again this is too far and between.

Do you think the current midfielders can get us thru this season? I’m wondering if Chukwuemeka and/or Casadei will start to feature at some point. Both young, but not cheap and clearly bought for their potential. Big step for both, but slowly integrated one or both may be a prominent fixture in next 2-3 years.

Same as with Broja

He may have to, depends if RLC and Jorgi stay fit because we can  be sure Kante and Kova won't. Will see them in the league cup at City I expect.

That's interesting. Isn't TT responsible for how he sets up his team to defend set pieces?

Yeah, we know he wasn't on the pitch to defend it himself.

Nobody knows why our attack doesn't work, maybe not even Tuchel.

He knows. It is quite obvious.

We were 3-0 down against Madrid and we could have scored 5 easily at Bernabeu.

James will be brilliant playing this midfield hybrid role. The biggest problem is kante. Once he is injured, I really don't know how to replace him.

You'd push Kovacic deeper, and have Gallagher/RLC replace him in the attacking phase.

Never happened
