can't say I enjoy the game after an international break - always run the risk that the guys just aren't back in the groove

Don’t know much about Saul, but his performance so far is making we wonder why the hell we sent Gilmour out on loan.

Its not just Saul who's having a bad game pretty much everyone bar Mendy Silva and Kovacic

Saul shouldn't be playing the position of Jorginho, he's a CM.

We always have problem connecting the midfield with attacker without Mount. 

Mendy has been freaking great but he shouldn't have to be..

Fair play to Simeone for trying to hide Niguez at left back ... 🙂

Match stats only show 4 saves from Mendy, seems like at least twice that!

Saul finding out the pace of the premier league here, probably needs a bit more adjustment time. I'd be getting jorgi on at half time

Yes Jorginho need to come on but not because villa keep bypassing our midfield. Arsenal did the same thing with Jorgi on the side. Saul just kept making crazy mistakes

Barkley and Loftus-Cheek would have been better options by the look of things.

Can’t be as bad 2nd half surely.

Glad we’re winning but Christ that was painful to watch. We’re backs against the wall with wave after wave of Villa attack. Big changes needed at HT.

Never been convinced about this formation. We struggle to create chance despite having the bulk of possession, and  we depend on hitting the opposition on the counter 

Awful half from our lads. Weird is we are ahead. 

Needed yet another key block from Silva before the whistle.
