Talked about how much he is enjoying his time at Palace and how much he loves being at the club and hearing his name sung as his 2 goals today.

Palace are said to be preparing a bit to sign him in the summer.

Chelsea should reject any bid for him. Gallagher and Gilmore are the future and we should do whatever we can to keep them.

In his BBC Sport column, former Tottenham player Garth Crooks says Gallagher would be making a "terrible mistake" if he stayed at Chelsea.

What an absolute shock - Garth Crooks talking out of his backside.

How much he values?

Top club who currently have 5/6 young academy players playing regularly. Why would he ever want to be a part of that!!!

Garth Crooks is an absolute c**t. How does he even have a job as a pundit. Bellend.

I’d be sorry for Palace, but it would be absolute idiocy if we have to keep playing a midfield of RLC and Saul every now and then, or playing Jorginho, Kova or Kante injured while OUR own players keep smashing it for other PL teams. Recall Gilmour and Gallagher, if we have the chance, to play them ahead of RLC, Barkley and Saul, and to prevent Kova, Jorgi and Kante from getting further injuries. I guess it will all be down to Tuchel and the board, but at least I’d bring back Gilmour.

Of the f**king highest magnitude, talks utter sh*te.......

Recall anyone?  I know we'll let him play out the season, but wouldn't hurt to have him right now.  I think long term he'll get a go at replacing Kante, albeit in a slightly different capacity.  Keep up the progress Conor - great to see every week.

Even though he's the inferior player currently I'll rather recall Gilmour if we really need one back, Gallagher has such extreme momentum right now that we shouldn't f**k with it for a short term fix.

However Billy himself is starting to come into his own under Dean Smith so in an ideal world I'd rather we sourced a short term option in the market and left them both too it. I heard Wijnaldum is potentially available on loan, he would be a perfect filler before one/both of them return.

I agree. While I would love to see either player back they would likely be used sparingly if Kante and Kova are back. Of course of the club feels that one of our key midfielders is likely to be out for a longer stretch for surgery etc. that significantly changes things in the short term.

Agreed he is one I would look to bring in with the lad from Monaco as well. Won't block Conor or Billy long term as Kante is only going to miss more and more game time with injuries and Kova is only one step more reliable than Pulisic when it comes to staying injury free.

The two of them plus Jorgi at least gives us 3 while Kante and Kova are out.

Heard around 32.5mill with first refusal in the deal.

Tell them to shove their first refusal. Zero chance of us selling him, and should we go down that route it has to be a “right to buy” at a set fee.

Don't be a sore loser. We have one of the best squads in Europe. We are riddled with injuries and accumulating fatigue. If we didn't have injuries we'd be very well off. Premier league is not won with massive injuries as we all know.

It would be detrimental to Gallaghers future to bring him Back to cover for Saul. Then Kante comes back and Gallagher doesn't play etc.

Not mention we honour the deals we make with Palace and other teams. Loan for one season means just that.

Gallagher absolutely stays there. Next season is a new chapter for us and him.

I am not exaggerating when  think he is in the top 5 in the premiership so far, he is having a belter, + 6 goals.

I say bring him back, we will do our best to ruin him  😀

Brilliant performance from him. Absolutely everywhere and his quality is very apparent even in a Prem game. He plays on the right side of midfield but in a free manner. Vieira appreciates him to roam around and look for dangerous positions.

Massive talent. That second goal is an absolute gem.

I wouldn't recall him. We have an agreement with Palace and will absolutely honour it.

Pretty clear that Chelsea needs a midfielder particularly with no idea what they can expect from Kante and Kovacic, and Jorghi playing on fumes. Gallagher is better than Barkley, RLC and Saul. Chelsea needs Gallagher for the second half of the current season. Otherwise, they may be hard pressed to qualify for a top 4 spot in the PL given how poorly they have played over the last month. The number one  priority is a top 4 spot. It's business and most loan agreements allow for recalls. Recall Gallagher who will light a needed speak into Chelsea.

I totally understand what you and others mean, it could prove detrimental to bring them half way the season and break up their momentum. But, those that keep banging on about Kante or Kova coming back and displacing Gallagher or Gilmour, when are they coming back? And, how many games can they play in a row without further injuries? Also, is it safe to play Jorginho with back pain through the Christmas schedule? I agree that I'd probably bring back Gilmour and let Gallagher complete the season at Palace; Norwich have not been very good for Gilmour until the change of manager. In my opinion, and we all have a right to have one without being called a sore loser, they would get plenty of game time, and I am not saying so based on the present situation, I said before the season started that I wanted to keep Gilmour at Chelsea as I thought that the Jorgi, Kova and Kante combo would get injured and Gilmour was a good option to rotate them. How things have panned out gives those of us arguing for it before the season started the reason.

Question how common is it for a team to recall a player early?

Especially if that player has been a key player to the team they where loaned to??

Would a recall of Gallagher be extraordinary?

I don't think we should recall him. The kid is having the time of his life at Palace. Let him enjoy his season and learn. Next year he will be 4th choice in midfield after Kanté, Kova and Jorgi (assuming everything stays the same). He will get plenty of game time. By the looks of it he could probably do a job up front as well.

No such thing as 4th choice midfield when Kante and Kova is in the mix, you will be second choice by default when those two get injured for large parts of the season. Ideally we should probably look for a 5th CM just to be sure and to keep our options open for a formation with 3 in central midfield. At the moment we have to many attackers, while our wingback & CM options are really lacking. We didn't really struggled that much when we lost 3-4 of our attackers, compared to loosing Chilwell, Kante and Kovacic.

It will be interessting to see what happens in December & January, we can't just keep doing nothing if Kante and Kovacic continue picking up injuries. Saul & RLC is not good enough atleast.

Hopefully we back TT in the market. We will see how much the club values him whether they make a decent effort to bring in reinforcements or not

He should get a full season in Palace, they play a 4-3-3 and there is where he will learn the most. I'm afraid in our system he can't play ahead of Mount if he's more suited to play more in a more attacking role.

Gallagher preferred to CHO or Pulisic on  form this season. Kiss of  death but closest thing to Frank I’ve seen in a chelsea shirt. More of a close range finisher though. Very good head in front of goal.
