Need a goal at the start of the second half, my guess is Rudiger needs to come more forward and win a penalty or something...

Yeah Covid.

Taking three tests a day in the middle of an outbreak at the club. Constantly uncertainty if you are going to get it and be idoslated for 10 days.

And I bet James, Mount, Chalobah and others are going to come down with positive tests in the next few days. They don't at all look like themselves.

So Covid is the reason we can't string passes together or create a half decent chance 😂

Our starting 11 is packed with talent and we have been abysmal. This isn't a one off game either

To blame this on covid is ridiculous.

The sooner the league is suspended for covid the better.

That first half was just terrible. Clearly everyone bar Kante is not at the races today

Reasons to be positive…it’s still 0-0. That’s it.

There’s been too much positivity in the squad - some of them need to start testing negative!

Draw is the best we can hope for on current form, that's doubtful though. Can't see us holding out. We're so exposed by counter attacks lately.

I don't understand with your complaints we have just played two days ago, in perfect world there will be massive rotation for this game. We have tired player everywhere

looks like the cost of beating Juve in terms of injuries has just unbalanced us so much, add to that the other people who have picked up knocks since then and now this Covid thing - it's a nightmare.

we are though pretty safe in the top 4, we're not going to win the title, we could have a decent go at the cups and the Champions League - maybe pick up the World Club thingy if we can get back on form by February.

Depleted squad or not this is unacceptable. That team out there has enough to look competitive at least.

Something major has happened behind the scenes imo

As always. At Chelsea there is always drama, every second season under a manager, like clockwork. Embarrassing.

Ziyech, Pulisic and Mount need to do much much better in the second half. Not many options on the bench to change things up ... I hope Barkley gets minimum half an hour as he will at least try and have a shot at goal.

Chalobah didn't look to be moving all that comfortably during the last five minutes or so. When we were on the ball he'd drop into defence and one of Azpilicueta or Silva would move forwards with the ball. Possibly not a coincidence that we enjoyed probably our best spell in possession during that period...

Considering also that he has been booked, and I imagine we'll see him subbed at half-time. If Tuchel is too worried about injuries then it will presumably be for Barkley (surely not Saúl), if not then Kovačić.

Pretty dismal first half. Ziyech and Pulisic in particular have been abysmal, James and Mount have been trying but struggling, and overall we are having real problems trying to play through or around their press.

Haven't quite been driven to drink yet, but there is still a lot of game to be played... come on Chels!

Not a single shot on target in that half ... players should be hanging their heads in shame at that ...

I'm relieved that we're going in 0-0 at halftime. Should've easily been atleast 1 down. Hopefully TT sorts things iut for the 2nd.

I don't think we are pretty safe in top four. If the form continues, Arsenal and Utd could overtake us, not forgetting West Ham. Shambles. 6-9 points can be made up if we drop 2 points every other game.

Every year, it seems, December rolls around and Chelsea play like they’ve never seen a clustered fixture list. I know covid and injuries have been tough and we literally have no other options, but Pulisic and Ziyech offer absolutely nothing way too often and we can’t keep relying on them.

As do they. These are professional athletes who train for a living. If they are not capible of maintaining fitness over a couple of days they shoujldbt be playing football.

What was the excuse last week or the week before? Its not something new, we have been honking for ages now.

If you think what we are churning out is acceptable fair play, but I don't.

Rudiger, Alonso need to go. I don't like their attitudes. In the dressing room I think they are likely candidates to be the toxic personalities.

I think it's a bit of both. I certainly think the players on the pitch should be doing better, but the injuries and covid like we have will hurt the performance of any team. It messes with chemistry and the balance of the squad. You only had to look at Liverpool last season to see what an injury crisis can do to a team.
