Agreed. I'm not so f**ked off about the first Spurs goal as it wasn't an easy foul to see and call definitively and I don't think VAR should go that far back.

Getting away with the  hair pull is ridiculous and that's on VAR more than Taylor. How that can  be looked at and not given is bollocks.

The combination of that, two poor missed chances and Jorginho deciding he was playing five a side with his mates whilst in our penalty box has cost us badly in a game we did more than enough to win.

Lot of positives to take from the game and hopefully Tuchel can take a leaf out of Mourinho's and Conte's book and install some siege mentality in the squad.

Actually the 1st goal was my biggest grief. I don't care about kai being fouled, Richarlison was offside and it clearly affected Mendy

That sort of offside hasn't been given for ages now. I'd be livid if we had a goal chopped off for an offside call like that. Many far worse cases of a player being in the keeper's eyeline have not been called as offside.

First goal was all on Jorginho for me. Which is a real shame as, bar first 5 minutes, he was having a fine game.

And the lineman for not calling a clear foul on Havertz when he was right next to the attack, and Taylor on the another side signaling a good tackle when it was anything but that.  Seems to me that even if the linesman had waved his flag for a foul, Taylor would have waved it off given his actions.

There has been quite a few given offside in recent years. It's also one of the rules of offside.

Like this one for Liverpool

For me that was offside because it barely missed Richarlison and it clearly affected Mendy. But like you said it depend on the ref I guess. 

The goal was clearly Jorgi mistake and I agree he had a good game. 

Also fed up with Sky Sports putting ex Liverpool pundits on our matches.

They hate us and show it with bias and their glee when we don’t win.

They wouldn’t dream of having ex Chelsea like they do with Liverpool, Arsenal and Man Utd.

Every now and again through the law of averages we might get an Ashley Cole or a JFH but with them in full time roles we’re stuck with the haters like Souness and Carragher.

Honestly really happy with the performance.  We showed Spurs they are still far off taking our place in the league.  Worries of a slow start completely gone.  Yes the ref was sh*t but Jorginho and James unnecessary bad decisions cost us and gave Spurs an undeserved point.  Silly mistakes seem to be happening more often recently, but overall top performance from the lads.

I’m furious with this result. We were completely dominant for the entire 90 minutes. I don’t care about spud’s first goal. The second one though; how has that bald fraud not seen Cucurella’s hair getting pulled? He was looking right f**king at it. Absolutely robbed of 2 points.

This better not cost us come the end of the season because I’m absolutely raging about this. 

Thomas Tuchel was asked if he had a problem with the officiating

‘Absolutely. The fans, and the whole dressing room. I cannot understand how the first goal is not offside, and I cannot understand since when players can pull other people’s hair and stay on the pitch. There is no explanation, and I don’t want to accept it. I have no words for it. Both goals should not stand, and then it’s a fair result.

Couple of hours since this is over and I am still fuming. That bald c**t ruined my night. f**king corrupt tosser.

Mendy - 7 - Couldn't do anything with the goals, and pulled off a few good saves. Looked confident with his feet again too.

Loftus-Cheek - 8 - Really powerful in that RWB position, Tottenham couldn't cope with him. Still took too long with his decision making in the box though.

Cucurealla - 8 - Excellent in tight spaces, full of energy, massive competition for Chilwell. Crossing wasn't the best today though.

James - 8 - He and Lofus-Cheek bullied Tottenham together, got a goal and should have had an assist.

Koulibaly - 8 - Brilliant goal and very composed defending. 

Silva - 7 - Quiet day for Silva, didn't really notice him much.

Jorginho - 6 - Was having a brilliant game, but undone it all with that error that lead to Tottenham's goal.

Kante - 9 - Brilliant, the only thing that could stop him was his body giving up on him again.

Havertz - 7- Had a decent game, pressed well, missed a sitter again though.

Mount - 7 - Similar to Havertz, pressed really well all game.

Sterling - 7 - Similar to the Everton game, strong, good link up play, good movement, wasted a good chance though. Got an assist in the 2nd half.

 

Gallagher - 6 - Did okay when he came on, needs to improve his touch play though.

Azpilicueta, Broja, Pulisic, didn't have much time.

 

A much improved performance all over the pitch and good to see we were on the front foot for a change.  Spurs didn't deserve anything today, we battered them in the first half and despite them being more adventurous in the 2nd, we were the better team, but once again missed chances cause us pain at the end.   

Shout out to KK, RLC, Havertz, Mount and Kante and mention to James..I thought Sterling wasn't that good today TBH, but it's early days playing with this team.  I also thought TT left it far too late with the subs which may have contributed to Kante's hamstring by leaving him on that long.   

Although the refs have been told not allow a lot more this year, it was evident that tackle Kane and he falls over they were going to get a free kick, foul on Havertz and Mount etc and its 'play on'.
