February 11, 20242 yr There aren't enough 'economic levers' in the world which can make Barca be able to afford Enzo any time soon.

That is why I am so fond of him as well. Riquelme ran the show in a slower pace football but was an artist at work at his best. Brilliant player. Quality, taking the piss at it's best.

February 12, 20242 yr As we've been saying for a while and the stats back it up. The effectiveness of Caicedo and Enzo in the Villa game was night and day compared to every other game this season.
February 12, 20242 yr He’s a very good player. Quality goal, the way he left that player on his a*se was just a thing of beauty.
February 13, 20242 yr Have really liked him from day one and haven't wavered at all from that view. Silky skills and great vision. When we get a proper centre forward to play off he will shine even more.

February 16, 20242 yr "Sometimes it's different in how we see the things. I do not believe he is now playing deeper, Enzo. Always we thought he was a player with the capacity to build, using him and his quality and then to arrive at the opposite box to score. Now to move and to run, it's improving a lot." Oh dear.. guess it’s Poch indulging him which isn’t helpful at all. If he isn’t positionally disciplined against City it will be carnage.
February 16, 20242 yr Author It's utterly annoying because I can already see City bypassing our midfield with relative ease in every phase and yet people will like clockwork call the likes of Enzo and Caicedo overrated.
February 16, 20242 yr If poch cant see the difference in how we played with Enzo in the 2 different positions/roles in the past few weeks then hes a complete moron.
February 17, 20242 yr Thought he was very good today - his work rate was immense, and playing slightly deeper does benefit him and the team. Always showed for the ball, tackled well, and looked to bring the ball out of defense numerous times.

The key is to build a solid triangle between Enzo, Caicedo and Gallagher, switching positions, covering spaces, making themselves available for the clean pass, this is how Enzo played with his national squad in the WC2022 (in that case you had Enzo. De Paul and McAllister, and sometimes Paredes), which ultimately led to so many great performances and winning the best young player of the WC. And i have no doubt things would've been different for Enzo and for Chelsea if the attacking players hadn't been so allergic to scoring for the past 10 months. Edited February 18, 20242 yr by Upb78
February 18, 20242 yr What a player .. for me the best midfielder on the pitch yesterday and that’s saying something when you have KDB, Rodri and Silva on ..

Thought Enzo had a good game, but without my Blue tinted glasses on, Rodri was the best midfielder on display for me. Rodri can do it all. Attacking and defending. The most complete midfielder on the planet right now and probably the best since Kante was in his prime. He is the main driving force behind that City team, not De Bruyne.

I disagree. Rodri is definitely a very good player but if you really want compete for big things in the end of the end what matter is goals and KDB is one of the best chance creator in the game.

And especially not Haaland who is ridiculously touted as the best in the world.
