February 25, 20242 yr Until he starts being direct and using his pace he’ll remain average. He’s absolutely rapid but he’s either being curtailed by the tactics or more likely confidence. There isn’t a defence that enjoys playing against directness and pace so there is still hope for him I suppose
February 25, 20242 yr Should have been moved on last summer. Ali Dia got 1 game at Southampton. Mudryk is one of the least talented players to ever play top flight football but because he's fast we'll waste a squad spot on him for years to come. will never be good enough to be a squad player for any team at PL level.
February 26, 20242 yr Chelsea fan TV had someone on saying that Mudryk is going to be loaned out in the summer. Probably to try and raise his value in Germany and Portugal I would guess. Or maybe we shift him to Strasbourg lol. Him loaned and Noni sold I reckon. Is impossible for us to break even on Mudryks FFP so a loan makes more sense. For Noni our break even would be 23.8mill, getting closer to that is possible, if the owners can make Poch play him and he has a few more Luton away games.
February 26, 20242 yr Did anyone else notice that at one point yesterday in/near the penalty area Mudryk chased a long ball and caught up with and got between the defender and the ball and the defender just stepped aside and in an instant the defender was now between Mudryk and the ball and cleared it. He is beyond useless. I think the poor fella needs to be moved on to save him from himself. Can’t be good for his mental health. He gets pelters every time he plays and there has been no improvement at all.
February 26, 20242 yr Not disagreeing with you there @MyWord but I think historically on this site, players with an M surname seem to get made a scapegoat when we play sh*t! Mount, Mikel, Malouda, Morata, Mudryk.... Morres, Mukaku

February 28, 20242 yr Looked good in the first half tonight, then went straight back to type in the 2nd. The whole team stopped playing though.
February 28, 20242 yr He is what I would expect from a talented youngster from the academy at 18/19. He is basically Hudson-Odoi aged 17. In fact, I would say CHO at 17 was better than current Mudryk. Unfortunately, he's what, 23? He's not really a youngster any more. He should have the basics like first touch and vision pretty much down by now.

It is like this is his first season playing team football ever. Let me be frank, If Mudryk is playing standard football, he is probably ahead of Sterling right now who tend to take games off. March 11, 20242 yr Maybe not all bling and social media posing after all. https://www.chelseafc.com/en/video/mudryk-surprises-13-year-old-pasha
March 11, 20242 yr We've seen enough of him now to know what his strengths and weaknesses are. Collecting the ball on the wing with his back to goal around the half way line, he is terrible. I actually think wing play in general isn't great. Playing centrally face on with the defenders in dangerous areas, he is totally different player. Ball control and pace is so much more dangerous for us. I really don't think this guy is a winger. The only way I can ever see him being a successful winger at this level is if he plays counter attack against a high line.
March 11, 20242 yr I'm one if his biggest critics but I'd be more than happy to see him get 5 or 6 consecutive starts ahead of Sterling to see if that regular run of games helps deliver a degree of confidence.

March 11, 20242 yr Just now, Remodez said: It was on target so it will go down as his goal. I think it was already over the line anyway! 6 minutes ago, loz said: I'm one if his biggest critics but I'd be more than happy to see him get 5 or 6 consecutive starts ahead of Sterling to see if that regular run of games helps deliver a degree of confidence. Definitely! We can see there is a very good player there (in that position) he just needs more minutes and goals like that to build his confidence more! He offers more than Sterling at the moment!

The two times he has played in the 10 he has been really good and has had a major impact. I would go as far to say that with Nkunku perennially injured and with Palmer and Mudryk able to play in the 10, I can now see a possibility where this lot may cash in on Gallagher. Remembering we also have Casadei and Chukwuemeka that can play centre mid as well as a couple of Academy lads, George, Tauranien, Castledine.
March 11, 20242 yr I think when he’s on the wing.m, he ends up being too isolated out of the game. Neville said on commentary that anything that Mudryk does, HAS to be direct..anything else doesn’t work. He’s getting there and showing signs. Keep the faith.

March 11, 20242 yr He’s 10 and not a winger especially in this league where wingers don’t get much space. Hes a different player when he’s in the 10 and in the space between midfield and defence.
