Conceding from set pieces.

Holes in the midfield.

No defensive structure.

Pass it wide and pray to Allah tactics.

Love Lampard but management isn't for him. Ownership are probably throwing a Hail Mary and seeing out the rest of the season on just vibes and see where it takes us.

How are you not all excited?!

It’s very, very unlikely but it’s now a possibility we could lift the champions league trophy with Super Frank and JT!

You really can’t beat that! Just dream…

Because i remember how it ended last time. I would be more relaxed if i knew he wouldn't get it full time even if we somehow pull of the UCL but the fans will ferociously pressure Todd and i can see him buckling.

You forgetting he got us 4th place after losing Hazard, our best player? Not to mention got Tammy scoring 15 goals and Mount & James performing well too.

He's better than what happened at Everton. Is it an elite coach? No he isn't, but we at least know he is capable of getting something out of  some of our players.

That was in his first season are we supposed to forget what happened in his second season. How he under achieved with our Champions league winning squad, how he made us believe Rudiger was trash. He is only rated because he is English and ex Chelsea. Lampard is tactically useless.

The simple way to put a stop to this is announce the new manager in the next 2 weeks or so and announce that they will be taking over in June. Similar to when we initially hired Conte, and similar to what United did with Ten Hag last season.

I understand the issues with Lamps coming back, but as long as it’s purely until the end of the season, and all parties are aware of it going into it then I’m ok with it. If somehow he is given the job longer term then that’s when I will take issue with it. But as a short term “fix” until the end of the season then so be it.

I’d take it if it means we win another CL.

I think it’s obvious we will announce Enrique or Nagelsmann in a couple of weeks time.

f**k it. Let's get Gary Cahill on the staff while we're at it, too.

Coaching staff of Drogs, Lampard, Terry and Cahill. Sub themselves on at 60 minutes and give the PL a proper bollocking for 10 games.

If we win CL with Lampard and then bring Enrique or Nagelsmann ...oh man, the war in ukraine will not be on the front page anymore.

Believe there is a chance of Ashley Cole and Joe Edwards also returning to Chelsea with Lampard as caretaker backroom staff. Lampard on the brink of sealing his shock return #cfc

Chelsea spoke to Nagelsmann and Enrique this afternoon - Nagelsmann is still the favourite but Chelsea want to take their time that’s why they are going for Lampard - only missing green light from owners. (@FabrizioRomano @onamp)

I could see the logic in the short term maybe.

Lampard's express yourself ball worked quite well while Sarri's training was still in the muscle memory of the players. For all of Potter's faults he had us defending well on the whole and we were starting to see some really good build up play in the first 2/3rd so hopefully we may see a similar sweetspot now. They'll probably still be some bits of Tuchel's training still there too so even better.

The problem is if he does have a succesful interim spell the crowd will pressure the board into making him permanent and I wouldn't be surprised if they do it, so when the inevitable 'muscle memory' from previous coaching wades off and we start playing like Stoke again (like we did post lockdown) we're back to the exact same problems of early 2021, with a toxic split fanbase of one's who can let sentiment go vs one's that can't and probably a section of the fanbase who can't or won't warm to the new boss because he's not Frank.

I think we’ll announce the next manager before the end of the season, really dont see any problems with this. Great to see Frank back, it will undoubtedly lift the mood in the stands. We also need someone unrelated to Potter on the sideline and Frank needs to rebuild his reputation. Win/win

You don't rebuild your reputation taking an interim job.

Stop looking for things to make sense with this ownership.

As for the Potter apologists he’s farked off so why don’t you ?

For all the Lampard haters wtf else is better suited and available for a 2 month gig? Big Sam 😅

In the meantime let’s keep our fingers & legs crossed that a better decision on a permanent coach is made by  ownership.

A caretaker has become needed because Bruno does not want to remain in interim charge apparently.

I get why people are worried given  it hurt some of us when Lamps was sacked, but there is no chance he gets the job permanently even if we win the CL this season, which we wont. We cannot score, our set pieces were awful before Lamps so he makes no difference there either.

It seems clear we cannot decide between Enrique and Nagelsmann and apparently neither wants to step in right away with such an unbalanced squad with Real, United, City et AL to face and be on a hiding to nothing, which makes complete sense.
