Newcastle were in a far worse situation before their takeover. they were fighting relegaton before that and bearly escaped it after. Chelsea were 4th last season and 2x  Champion League champions. cant compare the two.

If you didn't see the problems running through our squad and club, then you were blinkered. We have been broken for a long time - regardless of trophies and results.

Absolute nonsense again, I respectfully ask if you have attended a game at The Bridge ?

no matter how hard it gets everyone will moan during the match after the match etc that is fine, but there would always be a rallying cry ! Normally on the way out ….. this is what I was doing earlier in this thread that’s all

You sound like a scouser when you want to give up on your club, and I am really sorry to say that because you are obviously not

Look forward

When I say I am done, I don't mean I am just going to switch off, disappear and stop caring. It's the hope I am done with, it has been drained out of me. I'm not just going to delude myself into believing things will suddenly get better and ignore everything going on at the club. I genuinely believe this club is heading in a horrible direction and I don't think any kind of rallying cry from the fans can stop that.

Attended the match today can really see where we’re at up close … too many similar smaller dribblers - Pulisic, Ziyech Stirling - need a clear out , BHA had big strong lads all over the pitch .. and boy are we missing a Costa upfront ( might as well stick RLC there for now) Mudryk played well.. but two seasons to sort these players out and may aswell leave Lampard there.

True, but I was responding to the claim tha Kepa’s the reason we lost today. He was certainly not. We were pants all over, but Kepa saved our arses a few times today.

The Kepa saves was straight at him, I know the standards are low at Chelsea but they was normal saves you would expect any keeper to make.

Yeah, sure, whatever to put down the only one that has performed today….

The only relief was that the scoreline was respectable. They could've easily hammered us 6-0.

It's just astonishing how Emery and De Zerbi have come in mid-season and immediately taken their teams on an upward trajectory while we're struggling to score even 1 goal.

Bruno was better than this. Heck Potter was better than this, at least we we were creating chances but not scoring. Right now we are playing like a team with no tactical game plan. It is just individuals who are meant to run and work hard . We have strikers like Aubemayang and D.D Fofana in our squad but lampard chooses to play sterling up front.... smfh

What a sorry-assed Football Club atm... 🤬

We've got to wear it mate.. was thinking coming back from the game that this is like teaching a spoilt brat they can't have their own way just because they have more $

the problem is the squad, doesn't matter what manager is in there right now. Half of them have eyes on the exit sign in two months, and we have too many similar players

Well as the old saying goes had it been a boxing match the ref would have stopped it.

Don't remember the last time I watched us be out classed, out bossed and out fought on our pitch by a none elite side.

Brighton were so much better than is technically, physically, effort wise and tactically. Have to admire how they played.

How far Todd and co have had us fall in such a short time.

Only Kepa andGallagher turned up today. The rest had eyes on Tuesday or the exit door. No real need to impress the new interim.

Scoreline was kind to us, should have been a lot more. Given how poor we have been this season, it's just not possible to win when we are playing a game with the next game in mind. A lot of changes, players clearly distracted and not putting in 100%, and clear lack of urgency even when we got that first goal. The lack of pressing was alarming, matched by the number of times we lost possession out of almost nothing. The second goal said it all, 3 players  within 10 yards of each other and still couldn't pass or run the ball out.  If we somehow manages to pull off a miracle on Tuesday, all these are worth it. If not, at least get us out of our misery, and we play the remaining games with no pressure ( still need to get a few points to go above 40) and just for fun

"An army of sheep led by a lion is better than an army of lions led by a sheep."
This team was a herd of sheep which was lead by a lion(Tuchel) who performed a miracle and won CL making them lions. New owners kicked the main lion(Tuchel) and allowed to lead a team of lions by a sheep (Potter) who transformed them to a team of sheep. Now it's a team of sheep with no leader.
My point is simple: We need a good coach.  A proper one. An experienced one. A hungry one.A lion. A winner.
Then and only then a balance in a Chelsea Universe will be restored.

Really you think with a good coach will be be tter?

That was atrocious. We’re just wasting time. Thank Frank for his contribution. If Nagelsmann wants to wait till the summer to consider his options, then tell him it’s too late. Appoint Enrique instead. Have a new manager in place for the remaining games to assess the squad and begin implementing his philosophy. Have the manager in place BEFORE the Summer transfer window so all decisions are made in consultation and while the new manager works with the core players he wants to keep. Use the rest of the season as a kind of pre-preseason. Enough of this nonsense.

That really was the worst I've ever seen Chelsea as a team.

someone else said we need some muscle in midfield, up front and that is for sure true. Some character as well.

On the positive side Mudryck has real potential. He will  be a difference maker when we eventually get set up.

Also thought  Kepa, Fofana (mostly), gallagher, enzo (mostly) and James and chiller (occasionally) looked like chelsea players.

Cheezthat was a shocker.

Well... TBH I have to say congrats to Barcabrighton, they were stunningly good against shambolic opposition. We had no plan to handle their possession game other than run around and try and get near them. Worked a treat Frank, nice one. I honestly don't see a solution at the moment, I reckon if Boehly bought Brighton whole, renamed the club to Chelsea, it'd still be a sh*tshow within 6 months. I'm not blaming Boelhy to be clear, he has spent a massive amount of money on the suggestions of others (they are the culprits). They say the ladder doesn't lie, but I disagree, we are far worse than 11th. On the upside i didn't have to eat any ones Granny out.. (see my last post)...

Yes, i do believe we will be better with a proper coach regardless if owners saying stupid things. Owners want to be successful with this club otherwise wouldn't have spent. Its a rough start for them but they will get there.

That game looked like a group of players on 30k per week trying to show they’re worth a pay raise vs a bunch of overpaid players, with no motivation, running down their contracts knowing they’re set for life.

Those of us that have been watching Chelsea for over 50 years know that there is no such thing as balance. It’s a roller coaster ride!

Where to f***ing start ?????

I have been watching Chelsea home and sometimes away for more than 50 years and can honestly say that performance was up there - in the top ten WORST I have seen. To think that is was at home and that we were outplayed, outclassed, out thought, out fought and had so little passion that a mediocre mid table club like Brighton won their first ever game at the Bridge, does not do justice to just how bad we have become.

In the "old days" of the late 70's, 80's and early 90's were just simply sh*t. We had no money, were in danger of going skint, no decent players, no academy, and the Managers (John Neal & Eddie Mac apart) were just as bad as the players, so there was an excuse. Now, we have become the laughing stock of World Football !! Bought for Billions, Spent a further half a Billion in 10 months, got rid of a Proven a very good coach, because the new owners didn't like him, and appointed a shockingly poor replacement, and now a Club Legend who couldn't manage a decent Sunday pub side.

The real shock for me was the Stats from yesterday.

Shots on target Chelsea 2 Brighton 10, Shots off target Chelsea 2 Brighton 10, Blocked shots Chelsea 1 Brighton 6, Possession (%) Chelsea 41 Brighton 59, Corner kicks Chelsea 2 Brighton 8, Goalkeeper saves Chelsea 8 Brighton 1 (f**king one !!!)

Back to my Soapbox and my constant gripe on this site; This just goes to show, that we are lacking leadership, ON & OFF the pitch. At the top we had it in Bates before Roman, Marina, Buck, Kenyon and Purslow.  Managers,  Hoddle, Vialli, Mourinho, Ancelotti, Hiddink, Conte, Sarri and Tuchel. and Skippers/leaders in Harris, Pates, Wise, Terry, Cahill and (just about) Dave.  NOW? NOTHING !!! Unless we put this right at all levels of the Club quickly, we will continue our slide down the snake of World football.

He's even more protected than Torres was which i never thought was possible.
