Well we did the same thing for Poch last season around the same time so it'll be interesting to see where people are. After a good start to the season, we have fallen off a cliff since the end of November, is this a blip and Maresca needs more time? Or is Maresca showing that all of our original fears are coming true and he's just not good enough?

Although I had no great love for Pochettino, our results seemed to improve in the second part of the season. I see no upward trend in the short term, mid term or long term with Maresca.

On top of everything else, I just can't remember his name, I always have to check. So another reason to get rid. The yearly question, though, is: who's next ...

I don't rate him, never did. But I say give him some time first, another month at least.

We all know who the problem is here, the idiots in charge who will hire another lemon and sign a sh*tload of teenagers in the next window.

I think the Tuchel era is the last elite era of Chelsea we'll see for a long time I'm afraid. The players act and behave like spoilt children, they barely put any effort in, I'm not going to lay all the blame on Maresca even though I think he's far too stubborn to get us out of this current mess.

Just play it out for a bit, or we will be in for an Anorim situation at United, how's that going? Can't see anyone coming in and rejuvenating the squad overnight.

We were very average tonight well sh*t really

I am not one to want managers gone apart from potter recently but kind of feel we never produced a threat tonight

I do think when you look at the keeper and both central defenders we look weak no matter what combination

sancho didn’t beat a man tonight and I don’t really know what netto was doing

Nkunku  just didn’t see at all I know it’s not a popular view on here but Jackson is the better option I feel

Just not sure it would make much difference. The squad is a mess, we loaned out players that couldve contributed, and we failed to assess key weak areas.

No reputable manager is coming here to work in these conditions. next manager will be someone we probably have never heard of at the moment. It will be some flavour of the month coach, who thinks this is how a big club operates.

So yeah Maresca in by default. I preferred Pochettino, even though I didn't like him, the games were entertaining, and we occasionally showed some fight. This season our biggest win is probably Villa at home, out of both cups with a whimper, and the season will most likely end with a limp defeat in Europe and a 7th/8th place finish.

Let's not forget: Maresca is the successor to Pochettino, whom our esteemed billionaires deemed to not be enough of a corporate shill. Pochettino worked for Daniel Levy for five years.

Until that is no longer a (the) criterion for hiring a Chelsea manager, there is little point hiring anybody else.

That said, that Hürzeler kid just gave a scripted answer to 'have you ever eaten fish and chips?' so watch this space...

Genuinely waiting for an official statement from the club. A nice bonus would be if the 2 goon sticks upstairs go with him.

Its a No from me, he stays, hes not the problem. The squad is now very unbalanced confused and lacking motivation. The commercial activity (or inactivity) behind the scenes is unsettling. The players dont even know which club they will be at next never mind whether they will play and indeed what position they might play.

The Sporting directors need sorting first, their roles need reevaluating. There is very little evidence of good commercial activity going on.

We are watching poor team performances, however the shareholders are seeing loss after loss financially they cant be prepared to put up with this indefinitely, its bonkers.

I cant actually believe the shareholders arent more agitated than the supporters.

The current team performances will likely have most players worth approximately half what they were bought for. They must wake up soon.

Go. There's so many things he has got wrong, and is continuing to get wrong IMO.

Also think he has lost the trust and confidence of many of the players and, whilst I can't condone that, I can understand why. He is a rookie manager who has made rookie mistakes.

He has to go. He's shown what the squad is capable of especially with one game a week.

He's ideas have become boring and the players aren't buying into whatever he is looking for.

We need a manager to extract the best out of this squad and he is far from that success.

Need to either get to top 4 or at least win the conference league ( seems to be ours to lose). After Potter, I'm really skeptical of sack a manager during this time of the season. If we do, is basically another season written off as a transition. There are no proven managers to come in at this time of the season, and abide all the rules our supreme leaders assigned. I may change in mind if 4-5 loses come up, but I hope we stick with him until the season ends, at least people running the club could pretend to spend time finding a proper manager for next season.

Never thought he was good enough to begin with, given his lack of experience in top flight football. I would have stuck with Pochettino for another season after finishing last season strongly. I was of that view at the time of his departure.

I got sucked in by how well we were going in November/December, but the slump since Christmas has been very concerning.

Overall, I'm on the fence. The real problem is with the owners and Stewart and Winstanley. Just incompetent decision making that makes it hard for any manager to succeed.

Palmer, Madueke, Paez, Estevao, Nkunku, these are our attacking players with flair now and going into next season, is Maresca the guy you want handling that kind of talent? Because if anything, he seems to be the death of these types of footballers. He's ruining Palmer, and I don't want that to become something that sticks.

Get rid of Stewart and winstanley because after 1.5 billion we look worse I bet the team we had (tuchels team) beats the team we got right now by a couple goals easy

This is the most damning indictment of the clearlake era.

Do any of these lot make it in to that side.

Palmer I guess, after that......

Stay - but he MUST stop the nonsense of picking his same favourite players over and over again.

His mismanagement of this squad has seen us lose some good players - who should have been integrated.

I will never believe that Chalobah, Chillwell, Chukeuemeka, and felix were worse options than those we have kept around.

The fact that players like Veiga, Felix and Chris have all seemed desperate to leave - is on the coach.

Too stubborn. Too inflexible. Needs to change. But I wouldn't pull the trigger....

Not if the same people who picked him are in charge of picking his replacement.

Exactly. I see little point in replacing Maresca if the same clowns are just going to select another yes man.
