Ruben Loftus-Cheek

He'll pack on more muscle as he gets older, he's pretty big for his age but I think he can develop into a real steam-engine type player.

I dont think i should even respond to this lie.

hardly a lie from what i have seen. fair enough i am basing this on my own viewings of him (which were 4/5 games) but in these games he never looked like a player who was interested in tracking back.

I don't want us to make the mistake of letting RLC go and then coming to regret it in a few years time. At the end of the day, jose is putting effort into developing him as a player, giving him a chance, so if jose didn't think ruben was good enough, he wouldn't put the effort into him.

Not the flashiest of players but does his job well breaking up play bursting forward aand playing it simple. Great talent.

I thought his general play was poor against Redbulls, Jose also criticized him for playing lazily against Sydney. Hopefully he steps up and takes the chances he's given seriously.

I don't think Jose would have criticised him if he didn't rate him, obviously he does need to improve and hopefully he does here.

Plays a similar game to Mikel ... keeps it too simple ...

Thats what i thought when he played against West Brom last season. But maybe he is just playing it safe because he doesn't want to make any mistakes which is completely reasonable.

Yeah Im pretty sure thats what it is, he had plenty of flash in him and if you watched him with the youth team and England U21 you saw a player with bags of ability. Just need to unleash it

Kind of like this?

I wonder why this lad hasnt played a minute since that first game. hmmm.

Like I said:

THIS KID IS IN TROUBLE

The kid has not changed at all. His laziness was horrid! He wouldnt press high, wouldnt cover spaces behind him, at some point, I saw this kid walking back after the team had lost the ball. Tactically, once again, he just didnt know what spaces to occupy.

He is on thin ice, I believe and I wont be surprised to see him sent out on loan.

We all saw the young kid, kenedy, yesterday! A winger! how he dropped back to help foil Suarez for that certain goal. And we all heard Mourinho's praises! Had that been Loftus-Cheek, he would have pretended like he didnt see Suarez and Chelsea would have conceeded.

There is a reason Mourinho said nothing about Ruben and has ignored him since then.

I reiterate, THIS KID IS IN TROUBLE!

Yes he may be currently sitting on the proverbial naughty step, but I think that's a good thing for his development, Jose has given him a sniff of first team football and taken it away making him want it and respect it more. He has seen the level he needs to play at and has been told the facets of his game that he needs to work on, I can only see this making him better.

This is why young players dont break into our team. Young players have faults. When we pick at them or demand excellence from the start of preseason friendlies it illustrates the larger point that we dont have the room or time for them to develop because we're pushing for trophies in 4 competitions and thats what fans/ownership have grown to expect.

Wasnt Lampard lambasted for this same thing when he started out?

No, that not the reason. Betrand Traore and Kenedy showed a lot of fault and yet, Jose praised both of them. You know why? They respected the team and worked hard. Laziness is not a fault anyone should accept. This is why many English players never fullfill their potential. The fans hold them like golden geese and place them on a pedestal. Chelsea comes first! Ruben does not come first.
