Very few thought he had a chance of making it here before the season but he's clearly forced his way into the managers plans now. Also credit to Tuchel for giving him the chance to do so, among several others. He reminds me of Yaya with his powerful running and is deceptively very quick.

October 17, 20214 yr Really happy for him that he seems to be back to his best. Now we just need him to stay fit and not fade in the second half.
October 17, 20214 yr He's playing well but i wish he would release the ball sooner sometimes. Happy to see him play at a good level, i thought he was pretty poor at Fulham last season...
October 17, 20214 yr He's steadily climbing the progression ladder of his development. The next step for him would be influencing games more. It'd be nice to have a robust CM that can ping a pass and dribble with skill and strength. I thought the way he just shrugged off Onyeka and a couple of other Brentford players were fantastic.
October 17, 20214 yr He presses players now and didn't give up doing so until the end, big kudos to him given how much possession they had in the end. There's no way Tuchel doesn't love him for that, he's becoming a serious option for now and the future.
October 18, 20214 yr He's confident, he's fit so far and plays the game very well. Of course there are things that he has to improve, but overall we have got the player we had under Sarri. He could be a monster in the middle and Tuchel trusts him and gives him the chance to prove himself. If he will finish this season with a good performances and will keep himself healthy, I believe he would be a regular starter for us next season. I've never lost trust in him, always knew what he worth and wanted him to success, I just want it to happen this season. He got everything to make it happen, just do it big RLC !

Certainly didn't have it last season v Brighton for us and then at Fulham. But now he's looking like his powerful and best self. Will be a huge asset this season if he keeps this up. If he keeps going he might force himself into our best XI as well.

October 23, 20214 yr Yet another impressive cameo from Ruben. If he can stay fit he could play a big part in our season.
October 23, 20214 yr I thought he didn't have a career at Chelsea anymore but my word what a resurrection. He's the perfect Jorgi replacement
October 23, 20214 yr Loved his part in the 7th goal (seems weird saying that), the the skill, the speed, the desire and the unselfish pass at the end. In his best form since the big injury.
October 24, 20214 yr Good cameo.. how strong and powerful is he.. makes me wonder how amazing he would be as a number 8 in a 433..

October 24, 20214 yr Proper chuffed for RLC, after his injuries it’s great to see him back at his best, especially after that underwhelming stint at Fulham
October 24, 20214 yr Always believed in the lads quality. I just doubt physical his body will allow him to stay injury free. Happy to take my humble pie if proven wrong on that too.
