Courtois been terrific hopefully we don't need to worry over him leaving

Of all the players, it is Thibaut who I feel is most committed to the club but of course, he does not have the last say.

Not a single GK i'd take over him in the world at the moment. Incredible levels of consistency from him.

Totally agree with you.

Who is his agent? Donnarumma just declined an extension to stay at Milan after next season. Fate I call it

I was just thinking the same thing.

The timing seems to fit too well.....

Question is how much per week does donnarumma want and how much is his transfer fee? We know real wanted to spend big on de gae and since we lost out on huge money on Costa I wonder if we could turn a tidy profit selling them tibo and replacing him with the milan goaly.

If Tibo wanted to leave would be more than happy with Donnarumma but don't think it will happen personally. Fwiw I think Donnarumma is off to Real Madrid.

Personally I think Tibo is world class but I don't think he's developed much over the last 12 months...I wouldn't be too upset if we sell him to RM for £60m and get a good replacement like Donnarumma or even Butland...

I don't doubt that he is one of the best out there but Cech was the same and he was replaced. Anyone can be replaced in reason, its just whether or not the right player is available at the right time.

Im not fully sure on Donnarumma - I have seen bits of his displays but not enough to give a strong opinion. As mentioned before Butland is a great keeper but not sure on recently due to his injury. One of Tibo's great assets is the fact he is confident on crosses and actually catching the ball where many keepers now go for the clearance punch.

Not one of these players are bigger than the badge and if they decide its all about the money then maybe it is time to shift on. I have no issues with the team paying the best wages they can but again within reason

We sold Cech when he was old and declining. Tbo isn't even in his prime yet and is already the best in the league.

I think De Gea is slightly better, but it's marginal, both have their strengths and one or two weaknesses. De Gea makes some saves that he has no right to make, but isn't as good as Tibo when it comes to corners and set pieces.

Whilst agreeing in principle with this, wages for players have gone up exponentially. The money coming into the game via the enormous tv deals added to increased sponsorship deals have made a lot of clubs (even less successful) very wealthy. This in turn has players asking what about their share, without them the product is worthless. Yesterday we see Leicester City agree to sign Harry Macguire( the Micky Droy of today )  with wages just shy of 21m over 5 yrs, these amounts are unrecognisable to the average fan. Tibo is widely recognised as one of the top keepers within his profession and as such is asking for a wage that is in keeping with it. I agree that 200k a week is an obscene amount of money but wealth is what now drives the game.

Give him the money, same wage as De Gea, he deserves it and we should keep him, only a few keepers as good as Tibo in the world

Agree with the posts praising Thibaut. Like him a lot but I would not pay a keeper £200,000pw. I think the difference in results between a £200k keeper and one from the next tier down is marginal. Whereas that extra £80k on an outfielder can get you a more significant improvement. £330k for Eden is fine by me but, if the club decides £200k can't be afforded for Thibaut, I'd reluctantly have to say that I understand. Big shame if we loose him though. Great keeper and a nice lad.

People actually wouldn't mind Tbo being sold? Strange times, i consider him in Hazard territory as one of the untouchables.

Unbelievable isnt it, they dont mind us selling one of the top keepers in the world when he`s 25, with at least a decade of top flight football ahead of him? Christ people really do think this is like football manager/FIFA at times.

Cech was already going down hill when he sold him, the head injury plus wear and tear took it's toll eventually. Courtois is at his peak, be stupid to sell him and bet on our title or trophy hope on some untested upcoming GKs. Just pay him what he deserves, the last thing we want to tinker is the GK. Sell him for some profit now, and we will be signing 3-4 Gks in the next 10 year to emulate him.

Can you give a quick overview in English?  Not pulling up in English when I open link.  Thanks

Basically he says that he loves the club and feels like he owes so much after we bought him to replace a club legend like Cech. Well, that's what Google translate is telling me anyway

Not me - You do know who his agent is right ? You can expect another drama coming in a few years.
