August 14, 20178 yr Apparently Chelsea expecting him back at training, and contest for a position....

Costa has been an aqward c*** since the day he walked into Stamford Bridge. I had enough of him ages ago. I was just criticising Conte for his part but that no way means I am defending Costa. I hate the prick.
August 14, 20178 yr There is absolutely no doubt that words are not working ...simalar situation as Donald Trump & North Korea......therefore the old fashioned face to face approach should take place.... Mr Emanelo of CFC should be on the next plane to Brazil and bring Costa back with him ...for a meeting to take place between Conte and Costa with Emanelo as the Referee ! Then we inform Athletico Madrid that they either pay up the 50 million ( which is a very fair price) or they don't get him until he's out of contract in 2 years time. And he rots in the reserves until then.
August 14, 20178 yr Delusional manchester united fans on redcafe creating formations including Costa as a backup to Lakaku. Seriously, 1 game against a poor side and they think they are winning the premier league. They also are experts at reading body language. According to them, the old Mourinho is back as in 2004-2005.

Costa has proven himself to not only be an unprofessional idiot but also a dirty liar. So really, I don't care what Costa says. Chances are, it's a bloody lie. His agent is Jorge Mendes after all and that guy isn't above using dirty tricks to get what his client wants. Honestly I like Costa as a player and I like his aggression on the pitch, having said that I can't argue against your point either way because I have no idea what the real situation is. My only input is he seems to still root for Chelsea, says he loves and respects the fans and still has a relationship with team mates. He would look a bit of a c**t infront of them if he was making it up (and remember 3 are his Spain team mates) about the text and I don't see the benefit to him doing that, when he saw he was out of options surely he would want to stay so why make that up? But either way I don't know enough and I don't think anyone does to be able to offer other than a best guess based on what they have seen and heard. If he has lied and it is possible, then obviously no one would want sleeze like that around, if it was by text it wasn't wise of conte but he is maybe warranted giving the pissing about Costa has done. Either way as a footballer whatever the circumstances it's a loss, good news is morata looks the real McCoy.
August 14, 20178 yr I don't know how management works at big club level but I would do my best, as the owner/board member, to find a solution and keep Diego on the team and Conte happy. They are basically acting like little kids... Both Conte and Costa if what the papers say is true... Having a focused Costa + Morata + Bastshuayi would be scary to the opposition.

The club have had a real stinker this season letting the squad get so thing, selling to a rival and unable to peacefully of load a player that should have clubs lining up for him It's hard when he has publicly stated there's only one club he wants to play for and has privately turned down multiple chances to go elsewhere

August 15, 20178 yr However if that speculation is true conte is about to get the Jose treatment Yeah I'm sure they'll conspire to play like sh*t and destroy the entire season because they don't like the fact that Costa's off. Never mind thus being a world cup year which requires them to put in top performances in order to be called up. Nothing like that is going to happen. A rubbish story with zero sources made up of pure delusional conjecture. Is this the first time you've seen tge Daily Mail do this? Especially concerning Chelsea? You should know better.
August 15, 20178 yr Selling him for below market value would set a dangerous precedent. If Atleti don't want to stump up with a credible fee then Diego should get comfortable with the notion of waving goodbye to the next two years of his career.
August 15, 20178 yr As someone stated here the text-message from Conte to Costa is BS. It was cleared in a presser. Funny thing is the press is still running with that. It is so unbeliveable that I never believed Conte would do a stupid thing like that. He knows how the system works as do Costa. Costa wants out and he is clearly willing to do almost anything to get out. Great player, idiot man.

Can you imagine an Italian who speaks a little English, texting a Brazilian who only speaks Portugese, to tell him he's basically fired. It's just not happening, this is'nt a £7.50ph office cleaner on a zero hour contract.

Then came the Laudrup mess... I mean to this day, what the actual f*ck happened there. Home sicke for FC copenhagen? you have been living in Scotland!! I maintain to this day had We kept hold of him we would have one the league that season, we where just a little bit short in the end and having that extra bit of quality might have been the difference maker. Both these occurred under Ken Bate's so it seems to be in the Chelsea genetics

Conte: Good luck in the pre season, looking forward to welcoming you back on this date. Try and keep yourself fit and healthy over the summer. Costa: Ha I am off to Madrid Conte: To be honest you are not in our plans next season so maybe for the best. That might have happened. Costa admitted that was his response

Both these occurred under Ken Bate's so it seems to be in the Chelsea genetics That seems to be one of the great conundrums; whilst appearing to be run by a system of organised chaos, we’ve had a pretty impressive trophy haul in the last 15 years, but… had we been run in a less chaotic manner through this period, would we have less silverware or would we have had more? I think we could have had more. The resources we’ve had in this period make it conceivable that we could have had an extra league or champions league title. I’ve always felt that we’ve not been good at gentle and constant refreshing and improvement of our team. I feel we’ve been a bit prone to waiting till we’ve suddenly found ourselves needing to replace 3, 4 or 5 players at the same time. I’m still hoping beyond all reasonable hope that Costa can be reintegrated into the squad. Maybe if they can get him back here to train, maybe just maybe things can be patched up. At least until the end of the season.
August 15, 20178 yr The fact he has been posting social media stuff of him messing about, rather than training and showing that hes keeping himself in shape (other than a 5 a side kick about), says a lot.

August 15, 20178 yr Simon Jordan has launched a blistering attack on Diego Costa and called on the footballing authorities to take strong action against the Chelsea rebel. The striker is refusing to return to Stamford Bridge after claiming he was sent a text message in June by boss Antonio Conte telling him he will not part of his plans going forward. Costa says he was been treated like a ‘criminal’ by the club and is prepared to remain in exile for a YEAR if he does not get his wish to move back to Atletico Madrid. His antics have prompted a furious outburst from Jordan, the outspoken former Crystal Palace owner, who was a co-host alongside Jim White on talkSPORT on Tuesday. He insisted Costa has only himself to blame for the situation he has found himself in and has called on the PFA and FA to intervene and throw their support behind Chelsea. “The player has reaped what he sowed,” said Jordan. “He had an altercation earlier in January, he fell out with a fitness trainer there and, whether it was his agent or himself, then started to wax lyrical about opportunities for himself in China at keys time in the season. “He was probably told by Chelsea he was able to move in the summer if he got his boots on and helped them win the Premier League, but it that doesn’t alter the fact that he was very disruptive at a key time in the season for Chelsea. Certain managers that have the courage of their convictions won’t forget that so he has reaped what he sowed. “Here we are now where a manager by text, by phone, by carrier pigeon – who cares - told him he was surplus to requirements. That doesn’t mean that he then gets to go on strike, do exactly what he pleases and sit on a beach or at home on the other side of the world. “What he gets to do as an employee of a football club, within reason, is to do as he is told, which is to get his backside back to the training ground, keep himself fit and not do exactly what he wants, which is bowl around in an Atletico Madrid shirt orchestrating a move he wants to get ultimately for reasons he has created by his attitude. “Chelsea are well within their rights to take a stance. They are well within their rights to tell a player that he is no longer required. "He should be yanked backed and the authorities should get involved. Where are the PFA? Where is Gordon Taylor and his £4million-a-year salary saying something about a player which is completely and utterly wrong. “He should be back in England, he should be keeping himself fit, he should be doing his job. If he doesn’t do that, the authorities should get him for every single day that the slob doesn’t turn up for training.”
