Forgotten Players That Scored Great Goals

Featured Replies

Can someone put Mutu's goal against Leicester on here, that was a good left foot blaster. Shame he messed up his time at Chelsea, good player. Forgot Geremi could score some gems.

I was at the bridge for that game. Right foot free kick into the wall, rebounded and hit it on the volley with his left. Lovely hit

Funny that the Paul Hughes came into my mind as well... he scored 2 that day I believe, his only goals for the club.

Paul Hughes . Chelsea v derby at the bridge in 97/98. Scored a lovely goal on his debut. I was a 14 yr old lad in the lower east stand family section for my first ever game on my own at the bridge. Great memory.

So my nomination is Bjarne Goldbaek

Had to add this even though Mark Hughes isn't a 'forgotten' player but a superb goal in the best match I ever attended at the Bridge Chelsea v Vicenza in 1997. Hughes came on like a man possessed and you knew he was either going to get sent off - or do something brilliant. Fortunately he did the latter.

It's not a forgotten player, but under other circumstances it would have been a penalty kick to forget (the initial attempt). This time, though... Everyone goes nuts! And we didn't even NEED to win the match. :happy001:

There was a Prog on SS this morning and an excellent goal From Zola and Hass, but an absolute screamer  from Sylvinho of Arsenal in a 2-2 draw, an absolute worldie,
