Oh dear. A prankster has gate-crashed the presser and has presented Conte with a United shirt signed by Mourinho. Conte doesn't look impressed.

Here is a video of the incident - proof of our red-tainted English Media & a serious WTF moment for all to wonder about or enjoy - props to Don Antonio for giving zero phucks

Anything to make conte and the players more motivated to beat utd is a positive thing for me. Jose already pissed him off with the comment about match fixing, so this is just adding fuel to the fire. It's not mind games when it comes to conte, he'll see it as war.

Might sound obvious but I'd be more funny if the prank was actually funny if you get what I mean.

Yeah, bit weak wasn't it :laugh2: The thing with the iPad dragged on, not that anyone could see what was on it. I quite liked the way he was told to just sit down because they had a press conference to get on with.

I mean, if they were going to go for a Football shirt angle, why "Antonio Conte 1" in a Man United kit?
Why not "Judas is still 1" on a Chelsea kit?
It's not great, hell it's not even that funny, but at least it makes more sense, y'know.

FIRST TIME POSTING/LINKING A TWEET not sure how to do it but here goes

Big statement.

Edit: I think he means from an injury standpoint. We might get to see a 2 man midfield or Danny if we play 3 but I'm not sure if Conte trusts him in such a big game. I was almost certain we would play a 3 man midfield with bakayoko but now the lineup will be less predictable. Will be interesting to see how Conte sets the team up.

Gutter journalism for me, looked like they were trying to bait Conte for me.

Our results deteriorated after the last spat with JM, great headlines for them if Conte gets sacked and Chelsea look like a club in crisis every other season.

I’m the first to admit that when I seen our line up I expected us to get beat quite easily which probably explains why I’m not a top level football manager. Conte got his tactics spot on last night. Flooding the centre of the park and dropping off Barca instead of pressing them and being pulled out of position in our own half, closed all the gaps that Messi & Co. look to play on. We were so close to executing it perfectly. It could so easily have been 3-0 going to Camp Nou which is the most frustrating thing. Yet, I feel confident Antonio will have us set up and well drilled over there.

We beat a far better Barca side there with 10 men, we just need to hope we can pull it off again. COYB!

I said in the match day thread, we are the only team in Europe that get in Barca's head, when we scored last night  you could see them think, here we go again, sorry Barca, but when we go to the nou camp in three weeks, the nightmare will return!!!

Hopefully a turning point for him last night.

Seemed to have his mojo back, so hopefully we see more of the energetic Conte we fell in love with last season.

Looked a lot more invested in the game last night, much more animated and closer to how he was last season.

Wanted to add that we set up as a proper counter-attacking team last night. Excellent in defense with Barca not having a sniff at goal but counter-attacking at pace which is one of our strengths. It wasn't hoofing it to our forward resulting in low percentage chances.

That mistake and 2 posts kept us from having the perfect game.

Conte got it right

Turn back time 24h and maybe you'll see us being 3-0 up

The thing is that in Spain we'll need to score, so he can't employ the same tactic

Conte got it all correct.....we are extremely Lucky to have this man. The players once agaon proved they are with him.......unless your the media of course. Very very Little credit has been thrown at us.....thats the f**king anti Chels media for you. He will figure something out im sure, but in nou the ref will be all barca.....the powers that be want barca to go through......100%.

Why not? We could have scored 2 or 3 goals yesterday and Barca should have scored none.

They won't be pressing like that in Spain

And this is the problem the ref will give them everything as we will see a first class diving session in that match Olympic standard am sure

Ohh bet on it.....it wont take much for them to be granted special treatment. Expect diving....lots of yellows for us and a red. Doesnt matter if we score or not, we will get f**ked for sure. Thats the standard of UEFA and refs.

Conte's defensive mindset works well against Barca where they have the better players for the most part, not so much against Arsenal where we have the better players and should just play our normal game.

Had the team well drilled to nullify Barcelona. Makes me wonder how he gets it so hopelessly wrong against Arsenal every time.

Because he doesn't shut the game down vs Arsenal like he did last night.

I think the challenge Conte has spoken of is he has changed the formation in the last two games and we've conceded quick goals. It's a double edged sword
I remain a big fan of Cahill, who is one of the best value signings if the Abramovich era, but he can struggle a little when pressed on the ball. Not to go all eggs and omlettes again, but I'm watching Koulibaly for Napoli tonight. His control under pressure and ability to circulate the ball quickly is superb.  We missed a trick not returning for him in the summer when he had a release clause.

Cahill is vastly overrated because he's English, he's nowhere near a top 6 defender never was his limited ability has always been masked by defender's around him when you started life at Chelsea with a backline that includes Terry Azpi and Ivan you have three of the best that ever played in the league covering you

Sorry but that's bollox

Cahill was our best centre back in 2013-2015, he was the one covering Terry not the other way around. Terry was the organisation of the defence and solid as a rock but Cahill would always get the last ditch tackles in and track the runners. He was absolutely immense in Mourinho's first season, and very good in the title-winning season.
