Michy Batshuayi to Chelsea

You ever wondered why when a man was taken out to be hung or face the firing squad they just quietly take it, no kicking or screaming or pleading for their lives, it's because humans have a coping mechanism where they just accept a thing after the initial shock is gone, it sinks in they accept the unacceptable, thats what is happening here, we have been sentenced to the prospect of bats leading the line, , we had a whinge now we are accepting it, eventually we may even become comfortable with it, if you told us that end of last season we would have flipped out

By the end of the season, i wanted Batshuayi to start ahead of Costa. I even said i would have preferred him to start in the FA Cup final ahead of Costa at the time. So if he was our main striker next season, i would actually be ok with it. I have never been worried about the prospect of him being our number 1 striker next season.

I'd love Michy to make it here.

Someone wrote earlier here he doesn't understand why a 30m player doesn't get more chances... He doesn't when you have 60m man before him who is banging in the goals. Pretty simple to me.

When you are chasing the title things like 'giving a chance' or 'lets try him out' are swiftly brushed aside. Every time we've won the title we have had a pretty solid starting XI. Same goes with every top team.

Loads of people wanted him to start, he's our 3 biggest transfer fee ever yet now most people don't want him to play for us.

Think he has all the tools needed to be a massive success hear, quick strong, pretty good in the air, and not afraid to have a pop at goal from outside the box when the space opens up just needs a run of games. Also doesn't seem to want to blame everyone else or through a massive sulk all game long

His love for the club and his attitude combined with decent stats for basically a bench man last season make me really have a lot of time for Michy. Let's hope he can serve as an example of good things come to those that wait, he's only going to get better with more game time too.

Same here. I really rate him.

I don't mind that confidence, I was pleased when we signed him and wanted to see what he could do given a chance. A lot of people wanted that end of season due to Costas dip, but from give him a chance when the main striker is not on form to leading the line in the title defence and the CL, again I like him but, I think it's s big leap.

I think he can but he needs an experienced striker to show him the ropes and the do's and don'ts

So now with Morata's arrival, what is going to happen with Michy.

I want him to stay with us, I think he is a good striker and like he marked himself last season, he can do the same every season for us. Signing Morata means that Michy will stay as a 2nd option, but then I look at the past and Morata used to play a lot in a rotation system. In Juve and Real Madrid, he wasn't always a starter and always were rotated with strikers. Plus, we're going to play in 4 competitions this season, and I believe that Michy is going to get much more minutes than last season.

I just hope he will stay with us.

I think Michy is still a chance to play big minutes. Morata can easily play in a front two and drop into space  to allow Michy to play on the shoulder.

I think we will buy another striker. Probably more of a target man. Llorente would fit the bill as he could play the role for a couple of years and then allow Tammy to come in.

Sounds about right to me. As long as he's happy to sit on the bench for most of the season with a potential medal at the end of it.

But at his age the question is does he want to make the most of his last few years.

By that I mean playing games rather than winning trophies.

His hold up play was excellent, a real eye opener for me as I honestly didn't think he had that in him. His first touch was excellent too for a first game, if we hadn't signed morata then that display would have had me much more optimistic for the season with bats as first choice.

Needs a loan ideally if we can get another striker in.

I really hope not. If Morata doesn't cut it in this league, then we need Batshuayi. It would be such a let down seeing someone like Llorente or Benteke coming on or playing the odd game instead of Batshuayi next season. Batshuayi is better than the pair of them.
