Always seems to bag a goal but I still don’t think that as an all round footballer he’s got what it takes to become a regular here. I do hope I’m wrong and he can turn in to a star! Ahh this all around footballer stuff. We have seen the link up he is capable of with some of his passing and flicks like against Brighton. Can he also over hit or miss place passes more often than them or morata? Yes but end of the day we need someone who can stick it in the net. Let hazard and co worry about finding him and let him worry about getting in to good scoring positions. Right now we need him to stay, play and morata to wait patiently and when he gets a chance not fall over on slight contact.

When you’re at a top club you need to do more than just stick the ball in the net, just ask Javier Hernandez who was a good goalscorer for United. Nowadays with most teams playing one up top on their own, you really need the whole package. A few nice touches and moves doesn’t change in a couple of games the last 18 months. I honestly don’t think his performances as a whole have been that good, but he’s scoring goals which is what you want from a striker but I don’t think it’ll be enough for Conte. If he kicks on from here for us - brilliant, he seems like a great character and guy. Again, I agree he deserves a run in the team but that’s more down to how bad Moratas form is than how amazing Michy performances have been.
January 29, 20188 yr Good performance overall, but despite his two goals, I found him too soft when he wants play like Hazard, he doesn't want play simply. When he can make a pass, he prefers kept the ball for nothing, that's annoying.

January 29, 20188 yr This performance summed up Michy nicely. Great in front of goal but again struggled to hold the ball up and play others in. He's a talent for sure, but that isn't enough. I think six months at a Dortmund where he is the main man in a team obsessive about the ball could do him the world of good.
January 29, 20188 yr I dont see how BVB can possibly be a good place for Michy. He is a goal scorer, but in BVB he would require a lot of other things than that ability of his. If anything, I feel Bvb would probably be a very unsuccessful loan spell for him. It would throw his abundant shortcomings in the spot light.

If we accept he can never become a more complete striker then he has to be sold as he won't work here.Germany is far more open and a loan to BVB gives him a chance to learn and improve his all round game with less defensive pressure.

Imagine he arrived right now or with Costa at the club - he would probably have been in a similar position to Batshuayi. The best place for these guys to develop is either somewhere without big competition for places or where the team is not expected to challenge for titles. If Batshuayi develops into a great pure goalscorer - that's fine, and it does have a place in modern football. But he still has to improve his movement, touch and decision-making to get there.

January 29, 20188 yr Not sure why we bail Arsenal out so they can get a great replacement for Alexis Sanchez/Giroud while we don't seem to be close to anyone of good quality.

Dream Scenario, we're buttering them up for a Pulisic deal in the summer but I doubt that's true. It's strange that we're not trying to make Guerreiro as part of the deal at least.
January 29, 20188 yr It would be absolutely peak Chelsea board if they loaned out Batshayui with 2 days to go, without having brought anyone else in. Then we panic and overpay for someone terrible on deadline day.

January 29, 20188 yr It will be sickening if we loan Bats to Dortmund so Arsenal can sign Aubeymang, and offload their reserve striker to us. We’d look like complete mugs, what has happened to us? We seem to be the best run club in the world one minute, then the worst run club the next.

Maybe tom Am believes in charity begins at home or is looking for good karma?
January 29, 20188 yr Maybe a loan move would be the better option, but let's be honest, he's not exactly lit the league up when he's started or come on. Certainly won't miss him.
