Amongst all of the negativity surrounding our transfer business of last summer, I wanted to bring up the fact that I think Rüdiger has been a great buy for us, IMO should be one of the first names picked every week, and definitely seems to be improving as the season goes on.

    definitely is. i don't think he's had a bad performance yet. apart from the roma game, he's been absolutely solid. he is still young too, only 24. a real bargain considering the price players are going for at the moment.

    Had probably his weakest performance for us so far against Leicester, but I absolutely love him. Slotted in effortlessly into the side, so reliable and dominant, and has a great pass on him as well. Feels like he could be one of our best defensive buys in a long time, and the idea of him Dave and Christiansen bossing the defense for years to come fills me with lots of happiness.

    Decent player, but he's a bit inconsistent. He's certainly no Gallas or Carvalaho, but I suppose with the current climate it's not likely we'd go for someone that good.

    I like him, he may even be our best acquisition so far. He seems unflappable and he has all the attributes to become better and weed out any silly mistakes. His growing experience as a player for the national Germany team will help him reading a game.

    Our best signing of this season. We'll get to see the best of him in the next 2-3 years. 

    Like the way he plays from the back, his diagonal passes are very good .

    I agree, i would go as far as to say he is only player we have signed that suits Conte's system.

    There is a potential there for sure. At the moment he is nowhere near been a top class defender.

    While it's somewhat wrong for Rudiger to criticise the managers tactical decisions in public he's actually spot on. It's happened numerous times this season, we are playing well, take the lead and then suddenly decide to stop playing football allowing the opposition to come back into the game

    When you have a world class defence coupled with world class holding midfielders this tactic works quite well as Mourinho has showed in the past but when your defence is shaky and you have Fabregas in a midfield two it just collapses
