Next Chelsea Manager

Who would be your choice as Chelsea manager going into next season? 213 members have voted

  1. 1. Here are the current favorites with Conte included. Jody Morris is in there as he is the current youth team manager, and promoting from within seems to have worked for Barca, so why not us?!

One of these days, we're gonna get this right!

Probably not.

Must be a weird feeling negotiating knowing that both parties know that the deal will happen. It’s not as if it hasn’t been on the cards for the last few weeks.

BREAKING

Ugh, what an overused word that is in the football world.

It's even worse when they put BREAKING without the NEWS part. It's been a trivial annoyance of mine for some time now.

According to Di marzio the deal is imminent aswell.

People should stop mocking Pedulla and start thanking him, because he is the one who deserves MAJOR credit for this whole saga, he sticked with his reports on Sarri, even though the whole world was saying that the deal was off and we were appointing Blanc.

He derserves a tier of his own really

Who you calling an ungrateful prick...you twat...just cos you've got a Conte shaped whole in your arse don't mean the rest of us have to bend over for him...anyone remember the Costa text?

I'm calling you an ungrateful prick, with a huge dollop of childish self-entitlement thrown in.  You need to read, and hopefully grasp, what I have said previously about Conte and you might , just might, understand that I am no great Conte fan.  However, ignoring his achievements across two trophy winning seasons is exactly ungrateful,  and typical of the some of the internet fans we attract these days.

That's fine if you can still admit it was a sh*te season. Its the fans that seem to think one FA cup win means Conte is the messiah and should stay on.

I don't think there are any (many) other than the brake twat who consider him the messiah.  Some might not think he was such a disaster as others, but rarely the messiah.

I think we can all agree that Conte when he wants to be here is probably the best manager we could have in this market.

Trouble is there is a clear rift with the board in that he isn't given the tools to do the job he wants. We know Conte is stubborn and our board even more so and that's the sticking point, we know how it ends every time especially when the players are disgruntled with it.

Conte done an almost impossible job in his first season, a job I doubt any other manager with this group of players could have done. That was a Conte who was hungry, focussed and determined to win. He is not that same manager anymore

We just need someone who wants to be here and can work with whatever budget our board now have.

Breaking news tomorrow is we are so close to agree a deal with Napoli, Sarris coming on the weekend.

Pretty sure we had the same breaking news last week. I won't believe anything unless I see an official announcement and a smiling picture of Mariana with Sarri.

July 1st this clause goes back to 8m euros i read.  So between now and Saturday, there should be something significant happening.

Carlo Alvino says contact made, so that's something.  From Napoli accounts on twitter, he is almost as reliable as it gets, not including official club announcements

I'd be happy with Sarri or Conte tbh, but both have to be backed in the market.   However in Conte's case i suspect he has rubbed too many players and board members the wrong way to stand a chance of staying.  Hazard made it clear what he thinks lol

Whoah whoah whoah there. Hold your horses young man. This thread is entitled Next Chelsea Manager. I suggest it should be permanently pinned to the top of the General Section.
