Next Chelsea Manager

Who would be your choice as Chelsea manager going into next season? 213 members have voted

  1. 1. Here are the current favorites with Conte included. Jody Morris is in there as he is the current youth team manager, and promoting from within seems to have worked for Barca, so why not us?!

Big Announcement; I actually have a day off work. Coming tomorrow, a bigger announcement.

That's either going to be that you have another day off or that you're back to work. Oh I can't wait!

What's the odd of we leave Conte alone to see out his contract, while convince Sarri to have a year off while getting paid fully by Napoli. Let's drag this one for another week and I'd totally see it happen.

We are a day from July, no obvious manager, no signings, half the team want to leave if we don't do anything and pre season anything round the corner looking like it will be screwed up by a change of managers half way through the preparations. This season it was imperative that we acted fast and we're well prepared. We literally have done the worst possible thing by doing jack sh*t once more. This will make 3 of the last 4 off seasons where our preparation has been terrible and we will likely head into the season underprepared. Might I remind you that the last two times we dicked around all summer we finished 5th and 10th....

The blind faith from some fans in a board that has repeatedly shown itself to be incompetent when it comes to the summer period and pre season preparation is absolutely mind boggling.

Can’t really see any big deal. If a manager gets sacked mid season his replacement takes over and normally witnesses an upwards bounce in results, despite having spent no time with the players.

The World Cups in full flow, all our competitors are in the same bout re participants being late back to training.

Regarding signings who else has set the world on fire?

What is it about this forum and fair weather fans who like nothing better than a good old moan up.

Edit- there’s something about the miserablist mindset of our more negative contributors, who somehow think by moaning all the time, it’s somehow connected to them “ caring more” about the club. Load of bollox- we all care but are able to realise that spreading false gloom isn’t necessarily pleasant for the readers.

Two days off in a row? You’re living in a dream world lady!

I’m hoping it will finally be something Chelsea related so we can all move on with our lives!

I know right? It's like some people expect everyone here to post everyday saying negative things and slagging off the club every time.

Absolutely bang on, it's so weird isn't it. "I hate the club the most so that means I'm a bigger fan" just odd.

If Sarri knows he's going to become the next coach surely he's planning a rough pre season regime?

Look at all the opinions we all have on here, which players to get rid off, which ones to go after, how we should be playing, what our targets should be...etc

Sarri is going to be paid £xxxmillions to do all the above, you can bet your bottom dollar his work has already begun, probably weeks ago, maybe longer.

Hope we get confirmation Conte is gone today.

Pre-season is supposed to start tomorrow so surely something must be confirmed.
Lots and lots of work to do in these remaining five weeks until the season starts and transfer window close.

Wonder how much we'll end up saving in the end. I think it was the Telegraph that reported yesterday the club has realized we are running out of time and that we are now thinking about just paying Napoli what they have always wanted for him, or close to it.

Season starts in just over a month now. Conte is still our manager and none of the players have a clue about who's managing them next season. It's not excactly an ideal situation. Courtois more or less confirmed yesterday he is looking to go back to Madrid for his kids as well so that would mean we have to find a world class goalkeeper in a months time as well. Or get nothing for him next summer which this club would never accept.

Its all going a bit pear shaped then.....this week it will be sorted.....I think

With the pace we are getting Sarri, Hazard will leave us very soon ::clap2::

Conte could have been sacked a month ago, he is probably going to stay 1 more season.

Guy has won as much as Pep in two seasons and instigated a mini tactical revolution in English football. Is it so bad that if he stays?

Thibo is out the door anyway, we're getting 50m offers for one player who doesn't like him, another is next to useless anyway and the other will bring in boatloads of cash when he asks to leave. We could be worse off

If he stays the 2018/19 season is technically a write off.

Bad football, A manager who doesn't want to be here, A set of players who don't want him here. Potentially the loss of our more talented players. No chance of finishing in top four and Arsenal taking our fifth spot. We stagnate with no option for improvement.

It would end up being a poisonous year.

But thankfully a new manager is being unveiled this week. You have to believe.

Where's your evidence for "half the team want to leave"?   I didn't see that stat reported anywhere.

The "3 of the last 4 seasons where our preparation was terrible" we also won the league twice  -  did you forget that?

Someone else commented previously about your post in a much more eloquent fashion than I possibly could, but it ultimately came down to "you ain't half a whiney f**ker, ain't you?"

Lots of talk about us moving for Allison to replace Tibo.
