Man Utd Vs Chelsea (PL) Sun Feb 25th 2018 14:05 UK

I’m quite frustrated with Conte this season. He’s allowed his emotion to get the better of him and translate to the players. Way too many below par performances.

Todays game kind of sums up our season - signs of promise only to fail at the last hurdle.

Wasted opportunity there. We were much the better side - Lingard sub changed it. He gave them some pace and urgency and we should never have taken Hazard off. He wasn't at his best today but he'll always be more useful then the likes of Pedro and Morata. Not a massive fan of Lukuaku but if our striker had turned up today like Utd's did we would have been comfortable winners.

Hazard was very poor, if that was any other player people would be screaming for him to be hooked.

does anyone surprised that we lost? if you look at the first half performance alone, you could say that we didn't deserve to lose. hell, even if you look at United's performance, you could say they don't even deserve to win. however, if you look at our second half performance, not surprising that we lost, we were ASKING for it. for a good half an hour (before their second goal) nobody was trying anything to change the outcome of the game. not even Conte tried to sub anyone in (the game was screaming for Cesc).

but then after their second goal, we started to panic. we then started to actually try something. Conte actually tried to change the shape. why? why did we need to wait until the dying minutes, when were 2-1 down to try anything? instead of keeping up the tempo from the first half, we were waiting for them to score before doing anything. this isn't the first time I see mentality like this. the players, the coach, everyone was at fault for letting complacency creeps in. we could have comfortably beat them, but instead we put out this sh*tshow, jeopardizing our UCL hope for next season. sh*t needs to change, or else the board needs to force some change.

Once again, in a similar way to the semi final at the Emirates, we started very well before absolutely sh*tting the bed in the second half due to the serious lack of bottle in that team. Absolute cowards and nothing sums up our team more than the moment where Willian received the ball on the right, had everyone to cross to, yet decided to cut onto his left and lose the ball, which is an absolute speciality of these cowards. We saw in the first half that Unites just simply aren't very good, we created loads of openings but time and time again we chose the wrong option and let them away with it.

The second half, however, should result in their wages being docked. Never have I seen such an inept display from a supposedly talented group of players. Hazard went completely missing after getting bored and deciding to mess about with the flicks (that rarely work) like a ten year old. We mess around with the ball at the back time and time again before eventually having to lump it out of play on the right hand side or straight back to them so that when we win the ball back, we can do the exact same thing again.

Just so so frustrated with these group of players who just cannot seem to do the simple things like cross a ball, make simple passes, not give away the most ridiculous of fouls (Alonso). And Alvaro Morata just does not have the spine or ability to play in the Premier league, something I don't think he'll ever gain. Constant falling over, making the wrong runs, never makes the ball stick and on the rare occasion that he does, fluffs it and gives it straight back to them. An absolute joke of a player and after that sh*te he came out with about Real Madrid always being his home etc: please, please f**k off back there because you don't try a leg for us, however, more fool them if they decide to bring you back because I think even Benzema is a far better option.

Another loss against a bang average side having been in the lead, can't wait for City away

Our own fault to be honest we were the better side then just seemed to stop playing .

That Mourinho team bores teams into submission. Probably difficult to train for that.

Breaking News: Fans of a Football team don't like it when their team loses, stay tuned for more info.

Losing doesn't mean that you have to go into a mental breakdown like some on here do.

When your team surrenders so meekly - it is bound to happen.

Still a long way to go this season ... can't afford too many more slip ups though ... 7 losses in 28 PL games ... 25% !!!!

We have thus far been mediocre against teams in the top half of the table ... played 14 won 5 drawn 5 lost 4 scored 18 conceded 17 ... but it's the stupid defeats against Palace, Bournemouth and West Ham that have cost us dearly ...

You’re too positive for the match day thread. Please leave.

people crying over one loss away at utd and being the better side, but forget our rivals have to play each other. this loss isn't going to define our season yet. come back to me in 5 games time, my opinion might change haha

Our first half performance was reasonably good but we failed to capitilise on good possession. Second half we got it all wrong, our insistence on keep bringing the ball to the crowded middle when in good areas cost us. Ultimately though United today had a Centre Forward who led the line, we didn't.

This is the kind of game where we miss Costa's aggression. Personally I'd sell Morata at the end of the season and try and bring in Lewandowski. Morata is a powder puff.

I'm confident we'll make the top 4 if we play Giroud over Morata AKA Torres Mk II.

It's beyond a joke at this point.  The amount of times they rugby tackled us this game and were allowed to play on and now Morata gets a yellow when he clearly won the ball.

I'm losing the will to get excited for any football match these days. It's happening in almost every game. I don't give a sh*t what anybody says, we don't get the decision's that any of the other 5 teams around us get, and that is a fact. If anybody is denying that then they clearly aren't paying attention to our matches and our rivals. Even the minor decision's like going in strong and winning the ball fairly, it's always a foul when we do it, it's always a good tackle when it's against us though. I seen Watford putting in tackles like Morata's against us a few weeks back and it was a fair tackle apparently.

I need a break from football, the end of the season can't come soon enough. It's just draining and i haven't enjoyed it all season.

The plan was to stretch the play with Alonso and Moses providing width, unfortunately Moses is a non entity in the opposition third and Alonso doesn't have the pace to get beyond a quick wingback in Valencia. As good as we were during that game United seemed far more likely in areas where it actually matters.
