You're right. How have we all been so blind? It is Kante, Loftus Cheek, Hazard, Willian, Christensen, Hudson-Odoi who all suck. We should get rid of all of them instead!! And while we are at it, let's bring back Bakayoko so he and Jorginho can form the best midfield partnership in the history of football and raid Serie B, Kazakhstani League, and Greek League for top talent.

Jorginho looked great towards the end of the season when he had Hazard, RLC, CHO etc. surrounding him.

Looked average when Kovacic, Barkley, Willian and Pedro were starting.

It's a good point, he was much better with more dynamic players around him who used him much better as the continuity player.

If Lamps comes in how do you think he'd use Jorginho, higher up the park with Kante sitting?

Probably won't change much. Towards the end of the season the midfield of RLC, Kante and Jorginho worked quite well. I'd say Lamps probably need to tweak the fullbacks and wingers so that our game can be more expansive.

Nope, Kante is not a sitting DM why on earth would you put someone with an unlimited amount of energy in such a restrictive position?

If a manager comes in and decides to put a player who's main attribute is his engine sitting Infront of the defense and only covering a small area of the pitch then he will have it all to do to convince me he knows the game let alone is good enough to manage Chelsea.

How is that a "Comedic retort"? Anyone with even a basic understanding of football, knows that Kante greatest asset is how dynamic he is.

Lamps most successful period was playing in a 433, and he often employs a midfield diamond, but we are surmising Lamps gets the gig.

Making a manager as inexperienced as Lampard, Chelsea manager would make Chelsea a laughing stock. I believe Lampard has the ability to be a good manager but clearly he needs a lot more experience before he could be even considered.

because the people on Sky Sports News say that Kante is a deep lying DM  IMHO Kante is more like Ramires in the fact that he can cover much ground on both sides of the halfway line

Kante is the very definition of box to box player. Anyone who wants to use him to patrol a 20 yard strip of the pitch has as much understanding of football as Tony "used his wrong hand" Gale.

I wouldn't want Kante sitting deep constantly, but I do think he is much better tracking back, making tackles and restarting our attacks compared to his current role at the club. I think he is very average once he reaches the attacking areas of the pitch and I think he and the club would be much better playing closer to Jorginho.

Feel like Jorginho is a bit of a Pogba in a way.

Very poor player when surrounded by dross like Willian, Pedro, Barkley etc etc, but when he's surrounded by top players like RLC, Hazard, CHO his game gets into a different level. Been superb latter part of the season, and definitely underrated

Definitely improved in recent months, his positioning, work rate, ability to read the game, and even tackles a bit now. The aggressive pressing in this league was a bit of a shock for him, took him a while to adapt, but he got a a lot better in  handling pressing, and pass the ball a fraction faster which makes all the difference.

I think he made the biggest improvement, I really enjoy watching him.

Agreed.  One thing I really noticed during his run of good form recently, is he’s been using his body to really shield the ball as he receives passes.  Creates a lot of space for himself that way and started us on attacks.  Bummed he didn’t get a deserved assist though!
