Not many people will be watching it tonight.

Are the bad performances beginning to outweigh the good?

Yes, easily at this point. The last time I thought we played 90+ minutes of good football was against Burnley at the end of October. The win against Man City was good, but I thought the 2nd half was what won it for us, the first half we were lucky not to have conceded 2 or 3.

I see we manged to come back and score 3 goals now that Hazard isn't a false 9 and that Giroud the real striker is playing!

:laugh2: that’s proper delusion right there. The game was lost by the time that change was made. It was lost while playing your adored 4-3-4 false 9 masterclass. Lost with a whimper might I add.

Never watched it my life.

Europa League it is then. Great. At least we will get a 6th european trophy and a UCL qualification. Fcuk off with top 4 then !

on a more serious note : We are sihte. Go back to direct football FFS !

I am not sure the Europa League is a given either. I think that at best we are the 6th best team in the country, but when i look at these performances and style of football, are we really any better than Leicester, Watford, Wolves? I don't think we have a divine right to any position in this league without the graft and tactical nous needed to earn our place. And thsi team displays none of the early season attributes we were led to believe that comprised "Sarriball"

It was lost before we started.

Morata is still our best option up front, regardless of how many easy chances he misses ... at least he actually gets into the right places to miss them ...

No point having a big man like Giroud in the middle as none of Hazard/Willian/Pedro/Alonso/Azpilicueta seem capable of putting any decent crosses in. Add a toothless midfield trio adding nothing through the middle, and it's not hard to see why we struggle to create or score, CHO should start every game for the rest of the season.

Anyway, we are still in 4th. Hopefully we can buck our ideas up enough to stay there.

Yes blame the formation in hindsight well done mate doesn't matter that Giroud did nothing in 35 minutes with your superior real striker tactic!

My point is more valid, you are on my back preaching how this tactic doesn't work, I said it worked against Mancity, then you say that it's only a handful of times it worked, and then I say that playing with those other strikers also worked only a handful of times. And now you go back to the previous point...

but a broken clock is right twice a day. A couple of wins surely isn't an endorsement for a whole tactical philospohy. Surely it takes more than that to say that this is a defined pattern of play

No you're right, the problem is that this is our best team, the one that struggles to score and that doesn't have a striker worthy to fight for a top 4 placement.

Since Giroud came on Chelsea did not concede  and had our first shot on goal and kept the ball better. Had we done thing from the beginning we would not have conceded and that would have been a good result for Chelsea.
