Looking at the bigger picture, the fate of a football club seems pretty irrelevant as the trajectory of this looks headed toward a third and final world war. I can’t see a way out of this conflict.

I wouldn't worry about that. No matter how destructive WW3 will be, I have complete faith in mankind's ability to find a way to start a fourth one.

Hopefully the sanctions imposed against Russia and her oligarchs will pressure Putin enough and stress them to where this becomes financially impossible to continue. Ultimately, I hope they see reason and decide that the loss of life isn't worth it. I don't know if that will happen, but its good to hopeful even if delusional. I hope you are wrong however, and we don't end up in another massive war.

Our 900m Nike deal is now in doubt. If they pull the plug on us, it will be a painful death. Can someone assassinate Putin?

I think someone mentioned it before, but I'm still hoping Roman and the UK government have a plan in place.  RA sets uo a 1-on-1 with Vlad and gives him a lethal injection with a special MI6 issued pen.  In return, he gets Chelsea back and everyone is happy.

And then becomes Russian president in a democratic free Russia whilst handing on the Chelsea job to his son.

we would win every argument, "you won that FA Cup, but we contributed to preventing WW3"

we could put a dove of peace on the back of our shirts 😂

The problem is, we can't even commemorate Roman properly for risks of accusations of being a Russian sympathiser.

only way to respond to these disingenuous people lol

If Abramovich lets us go with minimal fuss then he really does love our club. Hoping for a swift resolution to all this madness, its fueling some craziness from jealous rival fans.

The fact that this was a doubt to some of our fans saddens me.

He proved his love for the club time and time again. How quickly it is forgotten since he was banned 4 years ago from being able to come watch us in England.

He really has been treated like sh*t by the UK, even prior to the current situation.  Reminds me of those Aussie f**kers and how they treated Nole.

Shannon Nole?

Deadline for bids is now set to the end of next week, then they’ll be considered, Abramovich has given his instructions to Raine Group to go ahead with the sale process. ( @Matt_Law_DT @TeleFootball )

I read 4-6 weeks is the timeframe for completion

I know this was consent given after the government twisted his arm.

Regardless of his dealings with Putin, at least this showed he loved the club so much that he's okay with losing 2bn just so his former employees doesn't suffer.

Feck Putin for taking away the best owner CFC have had.

And presumably now those American f**kers as well?!? Tell me, have the States now listed Djokovic under the Magnitsky Act & frozen his assets?!? As far as false equivalences go your comparison is off the charts don't you think?

I guess time will tell, I personally don't trust American owners given their record in the Premier League but Id love to be proven wrong if he buys the club and turns out to be a good owner.

im going by the yanks on social media giving their opinion, and various interviews with Boehly.  And the americans on social media all say he will sign the big names, put loads of money in, because winning comes first with him

I imagine that once a bid has been accepted, things will move pretty quickly.

Oh for sure.  Whoever hasnt bid by say, 10pm Friday night next week, is out of the running. There will probably be bids we know nothing about, too

I just cannot shake this hunch that Boehly and Wyss are way down the track in terms of a takeover
