This might be controversial but I’m getting tired of the amount of politics that is now involved in sport. There’s no separation anymore. Of course Ukraine war is terrible but every time you watch football, there’s political messages everywhere. I think Fifa had it right when they said no mixing of politics and sport. It’s too messy.

Unfortunately that is a thing of the past with the Woke and Cancel culture.

Completely agree. It's not just politics either, it's everything. It's like the sport is in a permanent state of virtue signalling. So much for sport being a form of escapism.

When we get back on our feet these sponsors can go f**k themselves. Hopefully we issue a statement to never use them again.

The government and Co are trying to Bury the club.

So they don’t want to be associated with Chelsea because their sponsorship money is furlong the war ., great decision by Hyundai.. glad they have also stopped car sales in Russia too.. but wait they haven’t done that..!!

again just like the Uk govt trying to show false intent.. hypocrisy at its best.. good riddance

Think i might just have a nap for 2 weeks until Spring properly arrives, and we get a new owner.

I feel tempted to nap until we have been bought by someone who also owns the Blue Sox. I may be a while...

Seriously though, am I the only one whose mind has sort of curled up in a foetal position, numbly waiting for whatever?

They were happy to sponsor the world cup in Russia too.......oh, and they will be doing the same in Qatar at the end of the year too, a place with some of the worst human rights in the world. Hypocritical bandwagoners.

Exactly. It makes even worse then corporations pretend to be moral and upright when we know they’ll do, say or back anything for money.

There is very little public evidence. Agreed.

Having worked in the area of UK sanctions in the past, I can say that the evidential threshold in the UK for them to be implemented is very high. Rumor or speculation alone is NOT sufficient to meet the burden of proof.

I have said already, but these decisions, in my experience, are not made on a whim or to make headlines. They are taken after hours of consideration, engagement and legal advice. Given Roman has the best lawyers that money can buy, I very much doubt the UK government have all of a sudden thought "f**k it - lets sanction Roman and 6 other billionaires, and get sued later, simply to make a point"

fair enough. I can accept that, although it is the Boris J govt we're dealing with - almost anything is possible!

Yup. They make crappy engines too.

Not sure if already mentioned but it's normally in April that renewals for season tickets are sent out. Presumably with all that is happening those may not be sent out for sometime unless there is a new owner or the funds from season ticket renewals are placed in an account administered by an organisation separate from the club. I guess it's a case of wait and see.

I actually think we will be saved though it will be a close call.

I think there are three serious contenders, the best is probably the Swiss one as he understands sports and seems to understand Chelsea.

I think the Turkish chap is still in the frame.

I also think an Indian billionaire is in though late and under the media radar and I think he will offer the most cash though knows nothing about football or even sports ownership.

Re protests don't see the point in pointing out govt hypocrisy tomorrow just cheering for the team and 'Super Chelsea' now we have the most trophies and the media spotlight will be on us so seems the best to chant. Especially important if any will report back to prospective new  owners. Lets alos chant, 'Champions' too.

If it does go tits up we can always get together later in numbers and march on Westminster and if Anti-Fa can wear faces masks and carry sticks without getting arrested don't see why we should be treated any different.

I can’t see the govt agreeing to sell to anyone with links to Saudi. It’s too political, especially with Newcastle and City.

Mohamed Alkhereiji, the guy leading the Saudi Media Takeover bid is apparently a Chelsea fan and he plans to renew key players contracts and redevelop Stamford Bridge. I hope either him or Nick Candy are the ones to takeover since they're both fans and would want to redevelop the club rather than turn it into a cash cow.

Would be a good option, that is until we beat Newcastle and the Saudi government freezes his assets in retaliation.

If we get Saudi owners, I personally wouldn't care at all. It's sad about what Saudi Arabia are doing to its citizens but why should I care? The UK government doesn't care. The PL doesn't care. The West doesn't care. FIFA/UEFA don't care. And especially Newcastle fans don't care.

Is Saudi Media going to make Chelsea an even stronger force? From what they are proposing, yes. So I want them. Over any other bidder.

I had ALOT of stick from Arsenal, United and Spuds fans over the past damn week with the "HELP SAVE THE BRIDGE" s***, and going to be a mid-table team. Now I want to see them bitter again. And cry. Wishing that Roman was still the owner.

“There’s a real need to change everyone’s mindset. There’s too much emphasis on Roman as the legal owner and not enough on the Ukrainian victims — who to all intents and purposes are the beneficial owners — and the fans who are the emotional owners.”

“[Sponsors need] to stop thinking about their brand being contaminated by Roman and start thinking about how they can enhance their brand by supporting the Ukrainian victims, and how they can strengthen their emotional bond with the fans”.

“Most of all, the government must prevent the club going into administration. That would destroy at least £500m value, which means £500m less going to the victims of the war. Surely, after all the brilliant efforts of the British public in raising some £200m in donations, no government wants that on their hands as an unintended consequence of their actions.”

Every day more bad news and setbacks are appearing. Wondering how bad it will get until we get some good news?

What upsets me most is none of this is football related. No match fixing or anything sinister like that.

A we all know, there is a pattern of Chelsea thriving in chaos. I could see us somehow stumbling our way to a Champions League semi final. Then who knows?

If the link to Ambani’s is true then this could be a bigger and newer era.. they are worth 60 bil USD.. they actually back the Indian local league.. own the biggest cricket franchise in the world..

They are known to be ruthless and enter only to dominate .. but not like RA.. they will do it like a welll engined machine investing in the ecosystem.

but I doubt they will want to get involved ..
