Eh Conte was miles worse than this. He didn't even bother when it came to Man City. Atleast under Sarri we are having a go and (Somehow) beat them at the Bridge. Some of you guys have really short memories.

@carrickblue   Do you remember who scored the first volley in that game? It was pretty damn insane. There was another good volley by sunderland but nowhere near as good as the first.

not sure - Kevin Phillips? He's about the right era

Under conte we would have had 20% and still lose you guys completely forget the match last year

It depends what the club wants. If the club continue to hire managers and expect to win the league with mediocre players then it won't happen. I've said before, our expectations need to be lowered if we want to actually build a successful side, along with top recruitment. People can't genuinely sit here and say the board have hired well. Sarri still hasn't been able to build this side in the same way as Pep has at City. If we don't have that kind of ambition, then we need a different vision.

We don’t have top recruitment though, do we? Look at the utter dross we’ve spent hundreds of millions on. Drinkwater, Bakayoko etc etc.

I could understand the board being apprehensive to back Sarri the way Pep has. Look at their career comparisons, pep has won everything. Sarri has won nothing.

I don't see how he's supposed to change it up though. We tried Emerson he was shocking vs Bournemouth, positionally was sh*t. We have no other genuine game changers on the bench. Who can we bring on that suddenly changes this game? There is nobody. Our recruitment has been shocking for years, but there's a group of players who aren't good enough.

Do you honestly believe that there is even a remote chance that someone will a) Give him the 300million plus to spend in order to get a squad both suited and talented enough to play his style and b) allow him to sign the players he wants and not the ones ‘they’ want?

I’m not saying he should be sacked, just wondering what the chances are of the incredible amount of FFP smashing spending needed being sanctioned?

I think we’re in a lose lose. We can’t or won’t spend to make it work and if we sack him for someone who can make us difficult to beat, we end up being boring to watch and ultimately still not nearly as good as City it Liverpool, or even dare I say it, Utd and Spurs.

I agree, this is way more pleasant

Yes but we didn’t get spanked 4-0 inside of 30 mins

4 shots on target, 4 goals. Looks like one of those days on Football Manager. Our defense is so weak, Alonso played so badly this first half that it can be used for the rest of his life to not put him in the starting lineup.

We did the double over them in conte first year, so this post is irrelevant

Not looking for excuses for Sarri, but firing him isn't going to achieve anything. It's just going to leave us in an even a worse spot with the next manager inheriting players from three different managers and 3 different styles of football. And the problem is that real football isn't like football manager where you can clear a whole team start afresh. Keeping Sarri and backing him in the summer imo is the best option given there are several players on the team either unsuited for his football or simply don't want to play for the badge.

You sound very ignorant, who else can Sarri put to play in the first 11 if Alonso doesn't even understand that he's a left back that is supposed to stay close to a winger or the opposition full back, you think Sarri is to be blamed for all of these goals? Alonso simply decided to stop being a player for no reason and left a whole side open and then tried to say something to Hazard. Is that some basic highschool football tactic that Alonso still didn't learn? WTF are we talking about?

Which lineups?? I post that Tammy should be given trust and still some people think he's unproven, who do you want then to play, at this point people tend to blame Sarri for not playing Barkley and then blame Sarri again for playing Barkley when he does play, what practical argument does anyone have against Sarri? NONE

Because as soon as I saw that line-up I feared the worst. We are playing THE most dangerous side in Europe, away, but go into the game as if we were playing Huddersfield again. He isn't learning from his mistakes (and those mistakes are mounting up). We go 1-0 down, 2-0 down, CHANGE SOMETHING before we end up getting hammered. But no, he doesn't know how to change a game. We all know Willian will come on for Pedro and RLC for Barkley and we'll stick to Sarri's rigid system as he doesn't know anything else. He is limited and regrettable I think he is out of his depth.

under Conte, apart from City how many games were this bad

Stats are just nothing compared to this game. City have ended the game in 30 minutes already, it's legit that we will try to score and create more chances.

I'm shocked. Never could think of this, I have no problem to lose a game but lose it like a team that fights. We're not creative enough, City could put two more goals in the last minutes, they just enjoy football which we not.

I will never lose hope, and still, want to believe that everything possible. Chances are low, but everything happens in football.

This is simply unacceptable. We're obviously an inferior team to Manchester City, but to be down 4-0 at HT is beyond belief.

We just recently endured our worst league loss in 23 years, and we look like surpassing that in the space of two weeks.

His final season plenty of games were horrible. You can go bad to match day threads and see the same behavior you are seeing now in those threads from fans

I'm a big believer in sarri.

But results and performances are not sustainable at a club of our stature.

Plenty of players that are not good enough to play in a system that requires them to play without being heavily protected.

A lot of these players win the league with conte, however that doesn't mean they are all good enough for us in the long run, there's plenty of average players in that Leicester team.

I think the fans will turn on sarri before he ever gets a team together that can play the football he wants.

Hopefully second half we can at least keep the score respectable.

Who would you pick out of Interest, Emerson - sh*t positionally, worse than Alonso.  CHO- Pedro is one of our best players today, AC - he isn’t prone to errors under pressure more than our 2 cbs plying today, kovitic - ok, but not a game changer...seriously who do you play, I keep hearing complaints about the line up, this unfortunately is our strongest squad, and when not individual errors and defence caving in our midfield and attack has been fine.
