Carragher just said we've turned into Arsenal under Sarri and it's a fair point to make tbh

I hate agreeing with him, but he's right. We are almost identical to how Arsenal have been since 2006.

you mean he didn't attack with Bakayoko and Drinkwater as midfield options
he changed the tactics to cover our midfield problems

And we still played sh*t and finish 5th so whats your point the players are absolutely sh*t mentally

How can we turn into Arsenal when Sarri has been here for 6 months? Carragher with the hyperbole. Surprised these ex-footballers get airtime when half of them talk utter tripe and do very little research. There's people on twitter with more footballing knowledge than most of these pundits. As for Neville, he's a failed manager so hardly has room to talk. And Redknapp? Well, not much to say there.

The youth would fare no better because the guy setting them up is the same.

Sarri simply isn’t a very good tactician

That’s is so very untrue, neither is conte, neither is Mou, and if you bring pep he won’t be either...I suppose

The gameplan for Sarri second half should be get 5 players sent off and forfeit the game at 3-0. Sarri don't have a plan B. Here is a dramatic one. Will help us not fall behind Arsenal on GD too.

We already losing 4-0 do keep up

Sarri is stubborn and wishes to play a system regardless of whether the players are good enough or not. His lack of pragmatism is worrying and so his inability to be a player motivator. Playing Kante where he does reminds me of the emperor without clothes story - the bloke needs a reality check.

It's absolutely shocking how someone who's been in coaching for so long can be so tactically naive. He's a f**king child.

I personally did not expect anything different from what we witness now.

Brain-dead Barkley plus aged serial squanderer Pedro plus no-pace Alonso all seasoned with non-coherent tactics and non-existing game plan - this a recipe for disaster from classic Sarri Book of Football Sorrow.

Look at the first goal, that's Alonso 100% not doing his job as a professional player. Nothing on Sarri. And after that, the players put their heads down and City felt it and started to bully everyone for the 4:0. Same story, as soon as things don't go well, players give up. It doesn't matter that we had more time to prepare for this game if Alonso is going to play like he played this first half.

He is just bitter because his beloved scouse are back in second

Every goal conceded are errors by the players. Those stupid mistakes are out of Sarri's control. You can't control a poor header to Aguero from Barkley, a wonder striker (albeit should have been closed down sooner) and Alonso switching off. At least 3 goals could have been prevented with some football intelligence by our players.

How many people do you see saying this statement...

“I don’t mind losing to the best teams as long as we have a go. Playing attacking football.”

Well people, some games end like this. Just gotta live with it if you want nice to watch attacking football. It’s a process and City are a very very good team.

Hence the fact it's the managers job to rally and motivate the players if he's unable to do this why is he on the touchline? Might as well be at home with his feet up watching the game on the telly! Lol

Can't disagree with that, which is why I said I think it's both players and manager making errors.

I live in hope mate. I’m not having sarri at all. You can be the best coach in the world but he is so bad tactically it’s unreal

You can't win with Jorginho playing in your team, that guy is just awful in every aspect of the game, specially defensively.

Great post. He’s a waste of oxygen

Wouldn't be at all surprised if the half-time talk consisted of Sarri telling them very succinctly that they are all going straight back out and are literally playing for their place in the squad for next season ... and then went out the back to have a cigarette ...
