Mason Mount

Your watching a different tackle to me, he absolutely 100% followed through unnaturally watching that video. Who kicks a ball like that?

It's a disgusting tackle and he's tried to disguise it as a rushed pass. It's very similar to Ashley Barnes tackle on Matic. It's exactly like you say, that is not a nartural follow through at all and I don't know how anybody can see it differently.

Shows how much Mason has 'come on' career wise. His contribution was greatly missed when he went off. Very lucky not to get a serious break from that tackle... red all day long from the majority of refs these days. Find it hard to believe some of our fans think otherwise, if it was accidental contact why did the referee card him at all?

You can take the player out of Arsenal, but you can't take the Arsenal out of the player.

Just curious, where should Mount have put his leg??...

Quite simply: not there.

He should consider not having legs at all, right?

Well, now he doesn't have two healthy ones. It is a contact sport and if you look at the situation as a whole you see Coquelin is getting rid of the ball and Mount gets in his way. Coquelin is the ball carrier in their situation. I think yellow is a nail on the head card in that case. Shame it ended up being a nasty hit on Mount's foot. I think some of you are just disgusted by that image of his twisted leg. So am I but it is not grounds for a red. I think I've had my say on this. Thanks guys.

I honestly have no idea how you can say any of this, there is no way on earth you can lay the blame on Mount for being in the vicinity of someone who booted the ball then purposefully followed through onto him. Your have to be on a wind up, no once can be this wrong surely.

A lot of people weren't huge on Mason Mount even last season at Derby but I thought that was odd, I think people were forgetting that a 19 year old was smashing the Championship.

I think his talent was shown last season, there's definitely a lot of potential there.

Coquelin's poor touch meant he was no longer in full control of that ball, the ball was running loose, thats why he dived in with excessive force. Red card all day for me.

He wasnt really smashing the championship to be fair. He was playing a lot deeper for derby than he does now for us and so after the first month there wasn't a huge amount to shout about.

Tomori got their player of the year for example and Wilson probably looked more premier league class than mount.

Personally I thought he had the quality but wasn't there yet but am very surprised he's taken to the PL so quickly

100% certain though that under any other manager he wouldn't be playing this year.

I thought he was superb, whenever I watched him play that is. For a lad at that age he was definitely a talent.

He's looked immense so far! I'm surprised how quickly he's been able to adapt to the Premier League. I was a little worried that he might not be able to adjust to the physicality of the EPL as he's not the biggest player on the pitch, but the way he's able to shift his weight on the ball and bounce off of players is incredible.

There have been times where he has gone quiet during the game which is to be expected for a player of his age but his closing down, decision making, first touch, and confidence on the ball has been unreal - looks as if he has been playing in the Premier League for years!

I love the fact that we have the likes of Tammy, RLC, Reece James, CHO, all showing their talent but man am I excited for this kid!

Let's not do a Spurs and rush him back from injury like they do with that poor donkey Harry Kane.

He should (and probably will) sit Liverpool out, and be back in time to humiliate Brighton on 28th.

Agree, only, although it looks bad on replay, it sound like he got away with no more than an impact injury. So if he’s fit and feels no ill effects I’d play him.

If he trains he plays, we need him, Abraham needs him, Willian and Pedro couldn't feed Abraham, Mount feeds Abraham like a waiter at a "eat all you can" eatery.

Pulisic can also get  the job done. Better not to risk. But yeah, Willian and Pedro together on the pitch is not acceptable.
