What a player we have in this kid! Surely a call up for England is in the very near future for Mount?

He's already had one and is apparently getting another on the next break.

I agree that Mount and RLC could play in the same team though one would go wide. Though due to RLCs injuries unlikely to be more than a handful of matches where they play together.

Mount's goal yesterday reminded me of someone, think Suarez or peak Michael Owen would have been proud of that.

I’m happy to see how this plays out when RLC is back to full fitness.

It may just be a case of may the best man win, but we’ll have a better team and squad for it.

I’d rather that than the way most of us can’t wait for Rudiger to return or our need for at least a couple of good strikers.

Good competition is great in my eyes and only the strong will survive.

It might just push Ross further down the pecking order for example, unless he raises his game.

I wouldn't be in a rush to see Mount start for England, we do not have any decent cover for our goal scoring midfield player.

Agree! I’d rather keep him under wraps at Cobham and have him keep working with Lamps for another 2wks, but he deserves the call up.

The irony is a call up for him might mean Barkley getting dropped.

Yeah it might just be the Championship but if you consider their ages their performances are staggering at Championship level, they are quite capable of fulfilling that potential at the very top if done right.

I'm liking what I'm seeing so far from him and Abraham, his touch for that goal was amazing. The commentators talking about bad defending for both of their goals (Abraham's 2nd) are laughable, both players produced excellent control and finishing.

It's odd how pessimistic I was about this season, now I'm more excited for it than anything because I actually enjoy watching how these players are developing, we've never really had this before. Lampard has really surprised me, I hope he proves me wrong.

I think over the next few years the initials MM are going to have a fairly close association to set of MM abbreviation that happens to have "ot" in the middle.

Who honestly thought we'd get a player this exciting at this age without spending the GDP of a small nation?

In a selfish way i don't want him anywhere near England, at least for a season or two.
