He has put in great performances against the top sides in the CL too, and Spurs.

Very good player, I’ve been impressed whenever I’ve seen him play.

Hopefully we can get this one done.

His cut in left footed crosses and right footed James crosses should make us an absolute force on the right

Classy player with a great set piece delivery something we've lacked for a while pretty versatile too.

Hopefully we are still in for Sancho aswell but would be hard to imagine spending a further 120m on him after this with a striker left back and centre back and maybe even a keeper still needed.

I agree but I saw somewhere today or yesterday that we are in 205m net profit. 205m!!! Plus whatever budget we’d have usually for a window, and we’ve not spent anything last window. WAR CHEST!

Got a bit of Mahrez in him, but he's not quite as direct or reliant on dribbling. 

Question is how he adapts. If he does he could easily have 10+ goals and assists per year. Even if he doesn't he'll fit well in our system because he presses and recovers the ball well. Mahrez not so much!

Agreed, Ajax probably have produced some of the best talent to ever play the Game, they're truly a Euro giant, just can't compete when the big clubs come knocking, i'd be hard pressed to think of a better academy in the world?

We will bring in quite a bit of money from player sales though too. Here’s a list of players who’ve already had deals agreed to or we could sell:

Morata (we haven’t gotten the transfer fee yet)

Alonso

Even on the very conservative side, that’s still north of £150m in sales. So we could buy Ziyech and Sancho and come out even just with  player sales. That’s not counting the Hazard money or any other money from 2019.

Guardian are reporting that the deal is agreed for €40m plus add-ons; BBC reporting that we're in "advanced talks" for £38m.

Seems pretty official now , the Ajax coach confirmed that he was leaving in the summe and Van De Beek said that he wishes the best of luck to him ... even Fabrizio Romano tweeted that personal term are agreed and he just need to sign the contract.

 

 

 

 

I think he's a bit overrated. Pulisic is a better player and a few years younger. Hopefully we get Sancho.

Yeah I would say your math adds up.

I think it was closer to 50m we are getting for Morata and I think we could get more for Batshuayi and Alonso, but otherwise those were my rough estimates - almost identical actually.

Also, another thing to factor in is the wages coming off the books with Willian and Pedro likely leaving.

In a way, you're both right. It was 2 £9M loan fees and a 40m transfer fee for £58m

It was a full refund. Great business for a wantaway flop of a signing.
