Pulisic still going after 90 minutes::clap2::

That's always good to see. We're all concerns that he might not keep up with the physicality and able to stay healthy.

But I think he should start on the bench next game. Kid still got young legs and deserve a rest.

Props to Azpilicueta we look way more stable when he's there on the left even when it takes some time for James to adapt to the flow of the game.

A new LB is for me the most important signing now.

I dont think you can compare this game to West Ham for example, clearly Wartford were not up for it but our players did goot too.

MUCH better and much more like it tonight.

Bar one or two moments, the defence looked a lot more solid tonight and you would expect to see those players keep their places, despite the number of games.

Mount, Pulicic, Barkley and Willian all good and Giroud put in decent striker performance. Love what Mount and Pulicic give us with their pressing, quick movement and skill. The changes in the second half upset the rhythm a bit and I worried that we might let Watford back into it but good save from Kepa and they missed their other chance and then Ross sealed it for us. Can go to bed happy tonight!

Zouma and AC looked better this game.. But they still make those errors that could have costed us.. Zouma gifting the ball straight to the striker with no pressure leading to a set-piece in a dangerous situation and for not being alert and closing the gap between the CBs, luckily Hugh fluffed his lines.... AC for losing Danny twice..

It will be great to get one complete performance without mistakes..

Potentially a big step towards CL next season this.

City will likely get at least one year suspension and then fifth is enough. And we have five points on Wolves + better GD.

Wish I had your confidence about city.

Pulisic is the new Hazard in the sense he gets fouled every two seconds on average...

You are right about that. I was thinking the exact same thing. When the other team doesn’t feel they can keep up with his pace, like Hazard, they just start with the careless, hacking fouls. Hope he is ready for it. He will we see it more and more.

Is anyone watching sky sports? Ashley said he hoped Chelsea make it to the CL places and the lassie said “and arsenal” and I’m pretty sure he said “and arsenal”.... “not really” when the camera went off him. Did anyone else hear that or have I misheard?

We just need to capitalise those freekicks and penalties. It will be worth it. Hope his legs stand that beating.

He can rest his young legs in 18 days after we beat 'Pool to clinch 4th.

Looks like it will likely be between us, Leicester and United for the final 2 spots.

Crucial we win the next 3 games as after that we have Liverpool away so that will likely result in a loss. We will need to make sure we’re at least 3 ahead by then.

Probably going to be 3 spots.

From what ive read city will at least get 1 year ban.

How is Mount MOM? Pulisic, Willian and Barkley had much better games.

For me I think the key thing that stands out about Mount was while everyone else was circulating the ball around the edge of the Watford defence in that awful U shape, he instead was capable (and brave enough) to pick out a pass inside that defence. Two of those passes were the pass before the pass for the first two goals. His movement and defensive work off the ball was superb as it always is.

For me hard to go past Barkley though as MoM who made himself available between the lines and got a goal and an assist. He is still maddening, making some great decisions with the ball and then an instant later a bad one that turns the ball over or kills a chance. But fair play to him. He, Willian, Giroud and Pulisic are leading the way after the restart.

Important to seperate the performance and the result for me. Bar one or two moments our work with the ball was nearly as bad as against West Ham. We gave it away a lot (Reece James notably) and had a lot of passive possession just passing it around the defence without doing much of anything (at least for 75 mins). We were lucky that Watford offered virtually nothing. Only exception was Wellbeck ragdolling Christensen at the end, which made me very thankful they didn't try much for the rest of the game.

But if the performance wasn't great, we did enough to get a very big result. Always hard in these tight races to play second and that match was huge for the points but also goal difference.  We march on and we're still alive in the top four race which would be a massive overachievement for us all things conisdered.

Good performance, apart from that 10 minutes between 70-80 minutes where they had a couple of shots at us, it was like a training session. Team selection was spot on, Zouma dealt with lots of the high balls, Giroud made himself a nuisance up front to the opposition, and the extra attack minded midfielder was a good pick for a game like this. I felt the most pleasing thing this game was the balance of the team, looked potent in attack, had a fullback who's good at crossing, and the big defender and Giroud to deal with the high balls at set pieces. 3 penalty in 3 games, that must be a first for us.

Happy with the three points and the result, but let's be honest, Watford never came to us with the danger that the spammers did.

Yeah that was a shockingly poor performance and attitude from a side supposedly fighting to survive.

We did all that was asked of us. Which was not a lot. Win is a win though.
