Pretty ambitious line-up in terms of attacking strength. With both Jorginho and Willian on the pitch we can probably expect to have about 97% possession. Alonso in for James is quite telling as well.

So basically I can see two possibilities - either we batter them or lose 1-0.

I was thinking the exact same thing although I really like the look of the line up, I’ll say an optimistic 4-1 seen as we can’t defend.

This is the same set of defenders that kept clean sheets against Liverpool and Everton, in the two games immediately preceding the lock down.

First time it's been selected since we came back ...

<Edit: nice to see Tomori back in the match day squad as well >

One would have to ask why that is

Our manager has perhaps been a little fixated on Christensen's positive attributes at the expense of attention to his negative attributes methinks ... he's been "over-selected" for me ...  ?

One thing I do like with having Rudiger and Zouma is that they are our two tallest centre backs, so we are in theory better in the air at both ends of the pitch. Hopefully one of them will score (for us) from a corner tonight ...

Isnt Christensen taller than Rudiger??

Good To See Ruben In The Midfield 3, Instead Of Out Wide, Like His First Start Back, Hopefully He's On The Left Of Jorginho As I Feel He'd Be Able To Have Good Inter-Play With Pulisic

I've been posting on the Red Cafe for years now and have had loads of decent exchanges. You get the odd big mouth but generally if I stick to what I know I tend to enjoy posting there. Many of the Man U fans are interested to get a different perspective.

I haven't been in there recently but I was surprised earlier in the season by how many fans wanted Ole out. He was a legend at Utd and I thought the fans would have bit more patience. He's definately come good since the break and I would be very surprised if Utd didn't get 3rd or 4th.

You know it could get a bit rocky with the semi on sunday don't you. On the day of the match the respectful niceties seem to fade and peoples feelings tend to take over. To be honest I think even with Utds performance last night they could still turn Chelsea over on sunday. The attacking force is as good as anybody at the moment and I never thought Martial would come as good as this. Can Utd turn us over 4 times in season?? Apparently Kante will be back and we tend to raise our game against the big sides. It will be a real humdinger.

I used to post on there a while ago but it got too much with all the pro-Glazer stuff. Got into a right ding-dong with a mod about that and decided enough was enough. This is a good site with good people and I know I'm here under sufferance. As for wanting Ole out, to be honest, I never wanted him appointed full-time but a fluke result in Paris was all it needed. I loved him as a player and his status is carved in stone but I'm just not convinced by his management style. Maybe he'll turn it around and maybe not. If he's happy just to scrap for 4th place, he's no business being there.

Not too worried about the barbs heading my way this weekend. Wouldn't have it any other way but it all seems a bit plastic to me. I can't get excited about a semi with no fans. I was at Villa Park in 1996 when there was a proper atmosphere so a fan-free Wembley is a bit ho-hum.

Last thing. A mate of mine thinks we should play a weakened team for the semi and our strongest for Palace just to try and get 4th. That's the type of thing that gets up my nose.
