Well done to Brentford!  So glad to see them in the Premier League - wanted them to beat Fulham last year to do it but this year is better as (fingers crossed) the fans will be there to see them.

Alaba set to join managerless Real Madrid and sign a contract worth over £400k a week.

And Madrid wonder why they have financial problems.

The reason why Italy, Real and Barca are in huge problems isn't because the PL is flushed with cash.

It's them playing buddy buddy with each other and paying over the odds for each other's players.

well that escalated quickly 😁

He has been there before so knows what goes on there. He is also a gentleman and as mild mannered as they come. Good choice by Real.

Never understood why Ancelotti took the Everton job in the first place. A really odd signing.

I guess he was out of fashion a bit like Allegre last season.

Ancelotti obviously preferred working too waiting.

People will say there's no loyalty, but there has never been much loyalty towards managers, so it should probably be reciprocal.

Heard a fair amount of United fans said they weren't bothered about the final before a ball was kicked, (but gutted at Ft) . Don't understand it at all, okay it's not as respected or prestigious as the CL but it's passage into Pot1 of the CL draw and they would have awaited one of Chelsea or City in the Super cup. I would have been buzzing for the final if It were us. Mind you, we don't bottle European cup finals so I guess that might have something to do with it.

Ancelotti going back to Real Madrid is a weird one, I didn't expect that at all.

I was certain Conte was going to end up there. So does that mean there really is a chance Conte will go to Tottenham? That's a massive downgrade. Why give up Inter Milan for Tottenham? Or maybe Pochettino will end up back there and Conte goes to PSG.

I gotta admit, all of these coaches returning to their previous clubs seems odd. Why sack them at all if you're just going to go and bring them back? What's changed? At least in Allegri's case, he wasn't actually sacked before returning to Juve.

I think the funniest thing about this is that United are sticking with Solskjaer. I have never seen so many top coaches available at once, and they are choosing to stick by a bang average one just because he used to play for them. If I was in charge, Solskjaer would have been gone after the Europe League defeat and I would be doing everything I could to get Conte.

Surprised no rumor about Zidane ( or anyone other better manager) being linked to United. It appears everyone in that club just happy to grind out another season with Ole, they may win a cup with better luck, but can't see them winning the league or the CL. Call it loyalty, or just complete lack of ambition. I remember Fergie said stick with your manager during his farewell, hell they sacked a few another that, yet the decide to stick with the least experienced and successful one.

He's got them to second, no way are they going to sack him now perhaps around xmas if he does not start well.
