I actually thought he was good on loan and was good for us when he returned, then the Barcelona game happened and he never recovered.

James has been good and have clearly taken steps this summer. Thats one saving grace.

That's the problem for me, he always makes a big blunder he's just not stable enough and because of it I can't see him becoming a world class defender ever.

A lot I agree and it wasn’t a criticism, just an observation - if you smash it and the keeper saves it you probably say the keeper done well but when they’re placed with no power it looks particularly bad. It works more often than it doesn’t in his case. I do think he should occasionally smash one so keepers don’t know which he’ll do.

Tammy not only with a shot but a shot on target! Best not do that again. 

It is concerning how we play against these sides. Was the same against Arsenal a few weeks back too. 

There is no real 'way' we try to play, it's play it out from the back and when closed down lump it up the park. It's pretty dire to watch. 

We still have Pulisic, Silva and Ziyeck to come in so that's some reason for hope but the signs so far are not good.

Don't mind losing against the top teams.....just the manner in which we do it.....today was awful...but its only the 2nd game after all; however I did expect to see a more attacking effort than this. 

if I hear the words "the champions" again I'm probably going to switch the game off

Without that Kepa howler we could be in this game still ???

Especially when they have been shipping goals left right and centre.

It might be modern football but we're NO f**king good at it!

I'm not saying lump it long but at least mix it up a bit.

Frustrating performance. The red (correct decision) completely changed the game. Important to remember the team isn’t at full strength, and I expect us to look better once Pulisic, Ziyech, and Silva are in. 
 

No words for Kepa. Should have been out of the picture after the cup final antics to years ago. May he never see the pitch, again.
