Mount is f**king untouchable man lol lol calling it now am blaming Jorginho Christensen and Rudiger for the lost getting it in before the match

Surprised by the team.  Didn't expect Chilwell to start but shows how little he thinks of Emerson and Alonso (which we knew).

Thought this would be a game for Kai.  Very concerned we have no creativity in midfield.

Who takes today's penalty then?

Lot of rotation surprised Kepa not back in the line up with the mouth watering prospect of AC & Rudiger in the middle of the defence.
Hopefully it’s not another loss and a decent performance either way. Unfortunately can’t see anything but suffering again today, hope I’m proved wrong as don’t like to be a bottler !

Mount has been our best midfielder this season, maybe even our best player. I don't object to him starting.

I think he has been as bad as anybody of late. He works hard, but he's been severly lacking any quality. Kante has been our best midfielder this season, the game against Arsenal was probably his first really bad game since the start of the season.

For me Jorginho is done at Chelsea. I hate how we play with him in the side now. Don’t get not starting Gilmour. Moves the ball quicker, longer passing and more energy moving around the pitch.

No reason for him not to play when the rest are not really winning us games... He has been involved in our best wins this season and at least this game everyone will play at their normal positions.

Glad to see some rotation (even if it means a start for both Jorginho and Christensen when better, younger alternatives are available).

That said, I'm glad to see Giroud, Hudson-Odoi, Azpilicueta and Rüdiger start - 100% the right calls there.

Starting Pulisic again is absolutely insane though - not just because he will be desperately needed against City (if that game even goes ahead now), but because we are putting him in serious jeopardy of medium- or long-term injury. Bit nervous about Chilwell too.

City match more than likely called off or they just have to play youth

Doubt Pep will entertain the idea of playing their youth

I’m actually so gutted at that team. Happy we’ve got Pulisic and CHO playing but god I just wanna see us playing some good football and we just keep going back to the well of bang average players like giroud, Christensen and mount

I wonder why Billy won't get any minutes.

He came back from an injury but looked good the last time he played, if it isn't a fitness issue then my guess is that Lamps is trying to keep the squad happy and the low profile Billy boy gets the shaft.

Would have preferred to see Gilmour start rather than Jorginho but come on Chelsea let's bounce back and get those 3 points.

Wonder who will take a penalty if we get awarded one today?

I cant beleive you want Werner starting. He needs protection before his confidence hits rock bottom. Zouma might have an injury bcoz Silva and Tomori are on the bench

I want him to play ST

Maybe protecting him against injury for January loan?...Billy gets the CHO treatment.  Hes not one of Lampards guys and that that.  I have seen enough of Jorginho this year.

Yeah that would be horsesh*t. Newcastle had 1 game off after outbreak vs Villa but had to play the next weekend.

Right double standards if City get our game postpone. Besides of the Arsenal kids can beat us Pep has nothing to fear lol.

Nice to see some changes even though I’m not a fan of Jorginho being in the team anymore.

Understandable though Lampard would prefer experience to youth.

Huge, huge chance for Hudson Odoi - He needs a goal and an assist to force himself into first team.

I just want CHO to be brave.

I can’t exactly explain this, I’ve been through some not too glorious times watching Chelsea over the decades but for some reason, this is the least inspired I’ve been to watch us play a football match...

Maybe it’s because of all the high expectations with the summer signings, the fact that everything was going well....I just can’t get excited for this and that’s a foreign feeling to me.

That's not true both Simon Johnson & Matt Law have confirmed that Billy is one of the closest players to Frank & Billy views Lampard like a father figure mainly due to how closely Frank monitored Billy for the duration of his injury.

Frank pushed to keep Billy with the first team squad as he appreciates the talent he possess.
