Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*

Featured Replies

It's quite crazy to think that this is actually like Year 1 of Tuchel's reign.

If we didn't have all that external trouble derailing our season and maybe our future, it'd be so much easier to be excited for what's coming next. I really hope the new owners settle Thomas contract asap and that he also gets some due rest after intense seasons (his first with us and last one at Paris).

If we do that, then I'm fairly confident we can be just as dominant as City and Madrid in the league/CL respectively.

Is it a coincidence two of our best attacking displays come as soon as we pick the Mount/Kai/Werner trio again?

Such a shame TT does not have quality to call on from the bench. TT looked so gutted by CPs misses.

Top manager, despite the result that performance showed that we're one of the best sides in Europe, and that CL last year was no fluke. It's always harder to retain it than win it

Hope he gets properly backed by the new owners and can sell off the deadwood (which our squad has too much of atm)

Got the team selection spot on and almost pulled off one of the greatest European comebacks ever. His only slight mistake was pulling off Werner for Pulisic.

It's only a mistake in hindsight. Puli got into two great scoring positions, which is what Tuchel can control, he just didn't convert. When he took Timo off we were ahead and defending comfortably, I think he made the change to be more dangerous on the counter. It may have worked if Puli was able to play Havertz in before that cynical foul from Camavinga or had he converted one of those two chance.

Just love his constant engagement and coaching off the bench, right to the end. On another day, we'd have won this.

A super defensive display. Just can't account for ridiculous passes like Modric's!

CHO? Disagree strongly there. He is one of the worst and rarely produces anything.

Last time he played in the league his quality set up the situation for Ziyechs goal against Spurs. Shortly before that is involved in all 3 goals against Villa and for me was harshly dropped when he was building some serious momentum with his autumn form.

His finishing I can't defend but I think he's well ahead of Pulisic in his overall game involvement.

For me if we do what we should have done last year and give the Werner/Kai/Mount trio time to grow and develop he should be the first alternative for me. I'd like to see more of the him and Reece partnership on the right and the chemistry they have when playing together was insane, at the ground it really sticks out.

Truly impressed with TT, new owners need to commit to a Tuchel project he's already earned the right to mould this team to his liking. Some players will need to go to make room that's a given. I personally don't think we need an overhaul just a few key additions and departures.

I think he got it spot on yesterday, the only thing I would say is perhaps he left the changes to late. Don Carlo was very proactive with his subs which he had to be due to the score. I feel like as soon as they had fresh legs Madrid upped their game and unfortunately because our players had been working their socks off I think some were lagging and that's what eventually led to the Benzema goal.

As it stands we have won two trophies this season and are on course for our 2nd top 4 finish (most likely 3rd place) under Tuchel which is an excellent job, especially considering we finished 4th last season and won 1 trophy and May finish 3rd with a minimum of 2 trophies that is progress.

Progress made despite catestrophic injury and covid situations that stripped us bare, ownership issues and personal issues (Lukaku interview and TT marriage to  name a couple).

A strong finish to the league season now to clinch 3rd and a mamouth effort to get past Palace and then the winner of the City/Liverpool game to win our 3rd trophy for the season. That I feel would finish a tough but good season in all. Even without the FA Cup I think 3rd place and our two trophies is a good season.

After 2 finals lost I think winning the FA Cup on the 3rd attempt will mark progress and be a nice consolation prize for missing out on the league and retaining our UCL title.

He deserves to be backed and allowed to make the signings he wants to succeed. So obvious Lukaku wasn't him at all.

He got it spot on tactically apart from the subs. I think maybe the quality of players he has on the bench affect his in-game management and maybe he could do a bit better on the player psyche aspect.

His Chelsea team have a bit of fragility that we haven't seen with past winning teams. Once we go ahead we are 9 times out of 10 winning but when we go behind like in the first leg, it's always been very difficult to pull ourselves out of it convincingly.

That is in a way similar to how we have been under Sarri, once we had an early lead it was usually a good game but if we fall behind it was a torture at times, maybe it's a personnel issue. He has to rebuild the team in the summer so hopefully he gets a nice war chest to work with.

Another cup final for TT, and he’s been here for under 15 months.

• FA Cup (2021)

• Champions League (2021)

• Super Cup (2021)

• Club World Cup (2021)

• League Cup (2022)

• FA Cup (2022)

That's an astonishing record. Love the bloke. Hope he is here for the long haul.

Should be motivated for this FA Cup final, really good way to end the season. Getting revenge against Liverpool makes it all the sweeter. I also like how we had a big final against City to end the season last year and now Liverpool this year.

A good chance to show we can beat them when it counts and we could be a good summer transfer window away from competing with them across a whole season.

After all across 90 mins there's not a team in the world we can't compete with.

He also has 100% records so far too.

3 wins out of 3 on the European and World stage.

2 defeats out of 2 on the domestic stage.

Without the king of Wembely Drogba or the crown princes Hazard and Giroud Wembely has been a curse to us for 4 years.

I still don’t understand how Lukaku’s goal in the league cup final was offside. Can anyone explain what part was offside? He was clearly level and looking at similar goals this season, it should have stood.

It’s simple really, it was against Liverpool so they bodged the VAR to make him offside. I don’t know how you don’t get it?

Is also why when any of you talk about revenge on pool I chuckle. No way we are allowed to win the final no matter how well we play, or dont.
