August 16, 20223 yr TT will have to deal with the fallout of his comments, but I'm chuffed that he called out the insipid refereeing. He couldn't go unnoticed without comment.
August 16, 20223 yr Isn't it stupid that the FA is investigating Tuchel for the comments? What's there to investigate Tuchel for? They should open an investigation into PGMOL for incompetence or corruption first
August 17, 20223 yr In a bigger picture referees should be protected IF they are punished for bad games like Chelsea Tottenham. Tuchel commented that in a heat of the moment and knew 100% he will get into trouble. If he had a chat with our publishist he would have been quiet. My hope is he will get a fine that affects him in no way.
August 17, 20223 yr I still do not see how we want to compete against City for the title. The squad is missing a CB and a striker like Haaland. So the maximum is the second place but this is not really exciting. 😏
August 18, 20223 yr Tommy boy did a Mourinho. Everyone talking about him & not the fact we conceded so late

August 18, 20223 yr Watching Drogba's all goals for Chelsea video and I can't help but think we have no chance in the league unless we find someone who has even half of his skill and hunger to score. Weird how little our players actually want to score.

Different generation of players to be honest, nowadays most forwards are too into video games and grew up watching too many tricks and fancy flicks. Forwards used to care more about goals and winning because that's the only way they knew how to get paid the big bucks

Don't get me wrong, strikers of the past were brutally clinical, you couldn't believe how someone like Romario could just finish every single chance he got or something like that but at the same time I feel like the new players have very little space to express themselves. It's either play it simple or be clinical and I think most of the time a player finds himself in a situation that is somewhere in-between a good chance and being completely shut down but they don't get to think about being daring anymore, if they try something different and end up looking silly they might not get a chance anymore or something like that. Though at the same time the game is maybe a bit faster so a few extra touches can ruin everything so it's such a delicate job of being a striker nowadays. Maybe Ronaldo, Messi, Lewandowski and to a degree Kane made the bar higher with their stats and stats suddenly became a superficial way of judging an ability of a player, cause before you didn't need to score 30+ goals in order to be seen as an amazing player. Obviously at some point everyone knew deep down that Hazard was the best player in the league and he didn't need to score 30 goals in order to reach that status, somehow the striker isn't in the spotlight as before with the rise of the inside-forwards solving games and there is no more this classical 10 that everyone used to have as the best player before, the #7 and #11 on the sides run the game nowadays.

Not entirely, how many times did Roman extend the contract only to sack 3 months later and be lumbered with an even bigger pay off bill.

Running and efficiency being a factor is an old trend that is cycling up again. The next trend of players would be athletic freaks like Mbappe and Haaland

I’d Massively agree with Kane as time proven and the Genuine PL Marquis striker, Messi at 25 would of scored for fun, because he’s just so good and super clinical, Same as Ronaldo, others have to adjust
August 19, 20223 yr Banned for one match on the touch line, though won't apply to the Leeds game, and fined more than double what Conte is, who recieves no match ban. More bias again, same crime, different punishments. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12676852/thomas-tuchel-chelsea-boss-handed-one-match-touchline-ban-for-antonio-conte-spat Edited August 19, 20223 yr by axman2526

August 20, 20223 yr Man has an iron grip - he’s been lucky it’s just one game. Bet Antonio couldn‘t really write those aftermatch banter posts on social media himself.

After the refereeing sh*tstorm and the earlier touchline fracas, I'm very pleaaed that he did I do believe though that if Tuchel hadn't started, Conte would have pulled a trick himself. Tommy just beat him to it. All very petty and childish, I like it 😍

Been having some dark thoughts along these lines. Tuchel extends contracts on improved terms. Tuchel signs Maguire and Gordon. Chelsea nosedive due to sh*t players not being good enough. Maguire becomes a laughing stock. Boehly reluctantly sacks Tuchel. Tuchel gets an even bigger pay off. Aaargh, say it isn't a part of some devious plan please.

August 21, 20223 yr Let's see if he has the bollocks to joke about our attack not scoring and our goals only coming from Jorginho taking penalties. 2 years and attack still non existent.
