January 21, 20233 yr Kepa - 6 - Didn't have much to do, which proves how much of a missed opportunity this was. Liverpool were toothless. Chalobah - 7 - Did everything right. No issues all game. Silva - 7 - Standard Silva Badiashile - 7 - Standard Badiashile? Hope so, two composed performances in two games. Cucurella - 7 - A lot more like himself at LB today. Like Chalobah though, he didn't get forward much. Could have been a tactic from Potter. Jorginho - 7 - Bought the ball out well from defence and started a few decent attacks. Hall - 4 - Struggled. Cannot deal with any pressure put on him and gave away the ball almost every time it happened. Gallagher - 7 - Hard working, gets stuck in every single time which we need, but he does lack a lot of quality on the ball. Decision making in final 3rd is often terrible. Mount - 3 - Very poor again. Pressed well, but that is about all he got right all day. So many poor decisions in attack all game, especially in the first half when he played a pass in the box instead of shooting. Ziyech - 6 - Good in the first half, but tailed off a bit in the second, still managed to pull off some quality crosses though. Havertz - 4 - Very involved in the first half, but he missed a few good chances and his touch play and passing is always far too relaxed which ends up with him giving it away. You never feel like he is putting his all into it. Subs: Mudryk - 6 - Looks very promising. Can see a pass, very direct, very fast, opposition players already looked worried about him. Chukwuemeka - 4 - Fluffed at everything. Azpilicueta - 6 - Came in to defend and did it well. Aubameyang - 3 - Why bother bringing him on? Offers nothing.
January 21, 20233 yr 19 minutes ago, just said: So did George Weah. And Joe Allon he nearly ran into the Fulham Road after he scored 😁

January 21, 20233 yr I was watching this around 20 - 30mins behind schedule. And in about the 75th the Mrs pipes up with "what does this tweet mean"? "Chelsea remain 10th behind Brentford on goal difference". Cheers love 😂

There was one time where he took the ball and could have turned into space behind him, but passed the ball back. Jorginho was clearly annoyed as threw his arms up a bit. Jorghino does this everytime in every game, Conor just learns from him.
January 21, 20233 yr Thought the first half passed Jorginho by and would have subbed him at ht. he did improve second half but needs replaced. Silva give his usual Rolls Royce performance and was my motm. Badiashile with another very strong performance in which I didn’t really notice him. Must be a pleasure for him playing alongside Silva. If mount wants a new super contract he’d need to up his game, has been poor all season with everyone waiting for him to click in. Needs benched. Kai was alright but leading the line is not for him. Pity he wasn’t better with the head. Better from Ziyech today were he actually tracked back and worked hard. Must be looking a move. Good debut from Mudryk considering he hasn’t played for a while, big fee, playing away to Liverpool. Something to look forward to I think. Well done Aspi, 500 games is some achievement. Not going to get into the Gallagher argument. He adds fizz and grit to our midfield but does lack vision and quality sometimes. Finally I just wish out players would shoot earlier. Too many times we try to walk it in and end up tackled or blocked.
January 21, 20233 yr Shout out to Jorgingo today. He totally bossed the midfield and also loving what I see in Badiashale
January 21, 20233 yr I thought there was improvements today , could see a decent structure and created a few chances here and there whilst defending well enough. Mount needs a spell out of the team when Felix is back , don’t think Gallagher is up to scratch at this level either. Edited January 21, 20233 yr by Dubair
January 21, 20233 yr Author James and Mudryk down the right / left wing going to be the strongest fastest wing in the league.
January 21, 20233 yr Mount is extremely worrying. Not sure if he's just played way too much football the last few years or if he was just the most overrated player in the team over that time period. His performances since the latter half of least season lead me to think it's a bit of both.
January 21, 20233 yr Both teams are in a mess at the mo. Whole a draw is no good to either side neither wanted to risk losing to get a winner, nor had the quality to do so. Two poor teams playing out a goalless draw. Not surprising but is where both sides find ourselves with our injuries and the seasons we are having.
January 21, 20233 yr Draw was the expected result, missed the game but based on the posts sounds like a solid performance

Liverpool were more terrible than we were good, which is why I called it a missed opportunity. Liverpool were that bad that I would have fancied anybody to beat them today. If our attackers would just sort themselves out for once, we could have beaten them by a couple of goals.
January 21, 20233 yr Plenty of positives but certain players need to be moved on or dropped. Looking forward to seeing more of Mudryk in combination with Felix & Muedeke. No more of this Havertz up front bollocks either. Edited January 21, 20233 yr by Malcolm9

January 21, 20233 yr A definite step up. Whilst still lacking in quality and composed finishing, we did move the ball a lot faster. There was less knocking it around the CBs than usual, and we actually went long a fair bit. Cucu, Silva (goes with out saying), Badi, Ziyech, Mudryk and Jorgi (credit where credit is due) were all decent. Kai was ok and did a decent impression of a 1980s target man, Gallagher had energy without quality Mase and Hall were pretty bad, as was Chuks when he came on. I actually thought Mase was the worst player on the pitch (by quite a way). Everything he did seemed to be off. Over hit passes, losing a race with old man milner, getting caught in possession. Just generally trash. Anyway - a 0v0 at anfield is not the worst, particularly given where we are coming from.
January 21, 20233 yr Mount should have shot and got us to 1-0 - glad to see him go off - should have been earlier - wish he'd stay off and f'off to some other place - £300k/wk ??? Good to see Zeyich taking a couple of decent free kicks and putting the ball in the danger zone a bit earlier. Great debut for Mudryk - he looks class. Why we put Aubamadang on I don't know... pity we couldn't put on Felix 😞 Game was there for the taking - definite improvement from a few weeks ago. Fulham a must win and will win.
January 21, 20233 yr Was noticable how much worse we got when Aubayang came on. Literally nothing stuck to him.
