I get this but I also have major issues with his decision making and passing. His only real attributes are that he has a tidy first touch and he's pretty nimble. This is great but if your second and third touches are generally woeful and your finishing is generally horrendous it's really in Vain.

Also in the recent years there had been a lot of wingers/inside-forwards that have scored tons of goals and that have no issue scoring against any keeper so there is that too, just because he's more like a winger it doesn't mean he should be missing so much.

Walker is 10+ years older than him and has shorter legs but Jackson couldn't shake him of in the second half and he just fell and wanted a penalty...

 

I really like this player, finishing needs work and is heading is horrible.

Work on his finishing and we have a really good striker.

Personally I don't believe you can teach finishing Jack. It's instinctual. That nanosecond decision of what is the right option. The timing and anticipation of where to position yourself. The ability to stay calm when the chance arrives.

Jackson has none of this.

Agreed. Training can clearly help all aspects to an extent and can maybe turn a Carlton Cole into a Robert Fleck but it'll never turn him into a top quality striker.

Jackson will never be a consistently good, let alone great finisher in any remotely challenging league.

He's an instinctive finisher, if it comes at him with no time to think then he does OK, or sometimes superbly as with the goal v Everton. 

If he has time to think then he invariably ballsed it right up, plus he's obviously an absolute bellend. 

If we had of had a striker like Olly Watkins yesterday we probably score.

Would not be surprised to see Jackson leave SB this summer.

Yes and No, I don't think Drogba was the most natural finisher, Always remember his first season, he was frustrating in one on one scenario’s, for some reason a CL game is screaming out to me (still better the Jackson). 

My issue here is that it doesn't look like he's working on any of this in any way, you run that drill over and over in training and when you go through on goal that training kicks in and you convert, not everyone can be Cole Palmer, some people need to practice a bit.  Comes back to the idea of standards and who’s driving them at the club now

He’s getting a lot pinned on him for the loss yesterday and in some cases rightly so but for me he was our man of the match because without him our threat was non existent. He put fear into Walker and not alot of players can do that.
 

I’ve come to terms with the fact we are far from the Chelsea of old where we go into big games with the feeling that we will win and it’s more now that I want these young players to develop and compete. They did that yesterday and project isn’t changing anytime soon so I just hope in a few years time Jackson puts away those chances.

I do keep it to the football, in most cases. But sometimes we see what they are like outside of football, and I have just as much of a right to take issue with that as I do their footballing ability, especially when it makes the club look bad.

Also, you've not called me out. You know nothing about me or my life, you're a nobody on the internet that I will never know. I couldn't give a sh*t about whatever wrong opinion you have of me.

every time something like this happen i always worry or by now kinda expect racist abuse on social media - nothing justifies that. Yes criticise his football and poor skills but the abuse online is vile..
