Was worried about how palmer would fare under maresca but was proven wrong absolutely phenomenal today.

Same I thought he would slowly phase out of games but that position for him is elite.

Marescas cooking big time, I had a bit of faith but massive doubts with the team and its sort of coming together now, just need to be consistent now.

Posts from me are rare these days. This is the best I have felt after a Chelsea game for a little while now.

So I made the mistake of logging on.

I got to page 16 of this (at this time 31 page) thread and I remembered very quickly why I came off this site.

My biggest takeaway is that Palmer must be the best player our club has EVER seen because he is the only player at the moment that NONE of you c**ts have an agenda against!

I'm not going to bother going through the second half of pages looking for the apologies for your blatantly sh*t posts because you are,l all too bitchy to admit you might of been wrong.

Even after Jackson got an assist AND a goal I still saw 3 different posters bitching about him.

You lot are the reason we are such a f**king laughing stock, not the owners, not any of the current players, not the managers we have had.

I can't beleive after a result and game like that I am having to say all this.

In short get behind the team, or f**k off and pretend to support a sh*tty team like spurs. You are all an embarrassment to this club! Much more so than player we have at this squad.

I used to be proud of my fellow chelsea fans. We had some of the most respected fans in the world, now we are left with a bunch of spoilt little c**ts like you lot.

You have never blogged regularly and it is no secret a lot of fans complain about our players even during the match posts.

Forums die if everyone's opinions are the same and I  am sure bloggers feel stupid if the player they have been criticising produces some sublime play later though I don't think this makes them a cxxt.

I said before the season started that MarescaBall will be dull, boring, and stupefying.

😂

The formation at least today was Pochball..and probably everything else in the game.

Offensively, pretty good. Cut them open quite a few times, and some good goals. Lots to build on.

Defensively, still a worry. I hate with a passion this inverting a FB into midfield, I think it leaves us exposed, unbalances the midfield and negates the strengths of Gusto/James. I _think_ we were doing it less in the 2nd half, though I could be wrong.

Definitely jackson, 😝

This is what happens when you take off a complete non footballer and imposter in Mudryk and replace him with an actual footballer. Were always playing a man down with him on the pitch. I hope this is the last time Mudryk  ever wears a Chelsea shirt.

I got so much heat from people in this forum for calling Mudryk a Sunday league footballer who would never amount to anything when he joined the club. Shows how much they knew! Just fooled by his speed, blonde hair and butterfly tattoos.

Hold on dude...!

Weren't you the one that was saying he was really good the other day. I want whatever you're smoking or drinking mate,  that stuff is amazing. Lol

Should we tell him?

Tempted not to, but its really bad if both lavia and caicedo are out with hamstring issues! Fk, we don't need injuries now...they need to build on this and keep learning. I still don't rate KDH that much, some nice passes today but also some lack of control too.

Statement 2nd half on steroids ...

Meh to Top 4 ... we should aim higher !!!

I know you're joking but on a serious note...Next season bud. This season we need to settle down and let the kids develop and gain more experience. They are hot-headed and still somewhat inconsistent.

Great to have a match day thread with such an (overall) upbeat tone, seems to have been ages to be reading through one like this.

I wasn't online during the game bud, too busy watching it but I read this whole thread. Fkn hell mate some ppl need to calm the fk down, I feel for their blood pressure. It's not good for their heart!

It wasn't just doom and gloom but damn I'm so glad not one person on here is the chelsea manager or even staff at Chelsea, I can't begin to imagine the negativity they would bring to the club. We don't need other fans being toxic, some of ours are bad enough mate. It's only the second PL game, we may still be absolute sh*t by the end of the season but at least they should wait a bit before going nuts.

For all you muppets out there...be patient and give the inexperienced kids and inexperienced manager a break guys. Get behind them, support the team.

Try yoga, meditation or breathing exercises or something. Rub those ear lobes and say "Wuuuussssssa..."

Jeez, lol.

You’re right. Here in south Manchester when I’m in the office or meeting mates for a drink or chatting with my neighbours, they always say that Chelsea are a complete joke and that Shed End forum is the reason why. It’s read daily by millions of people globally and it’s where the world’s sports press and football loving public come to form their opinions on Chelsea FC.

You almost never read about having a squad of 42 players or spending nearly 2 billion quid, all I ever hear about is how a supporters internet forum gets irritated with poor first half performances before the team go on to get a win with a much improved second half performance.

I am dreading going back into work on Tuesday and getting loads of sh*t from everyone over the forums first half postings.

KTBFFH!

Sunday pub league at its best today, 😉 especially the defending on an off the ball from both teams certainly made it entertaining for the neutrals; Wolves just proved their defence is worse than ours that's all.  And anyone on here who could see this result after the first half, fair play to you because I certainly didn't as I suspect many didn't either.   Wolves missed a few chances in the first half that could have changed the result as our defensive circus was on show for all to see; against most other teams we would have been down by 3 at least by half time.  2nd half we steadied the defence somewhat, but it still looked shaky and Wolves let us off a couple of times.  Still 3 points is 3 points and there was some good build up play resulting in some decent goals.  But I'm not getting carried away after this result, Wolves were sh*te, but it will give the team confidence.  However, someone needs to sort this midfield and defence out in a hurry.  Individually we have some good players, collectively they are shambolic and we need someone to take control and calm things down, and who can mentor this group as well as coaching them to become a cohesive unit.

A decent run of games to come, so let's see what each week brings and hopefully we see improvements along the way.

With how chaotic the first half was, I guess it was going to come down to who could come out in the 2nd half with the most composure, thankfully that was us.

We were a mess in the first half though, hopefully the reaction afterwards is something we can build on and not just another false dawn.

Watched on delay as was preferable to a 5am Sunday KO for what I was expecting.
First half attacking phase sorted defensive not so much. Same bad defending ball watching.
Second half full on attacking brilliance. KDH almost gifted them a goal but generally team was solid.
First 🏏 score since TT boys leathered Soton away ?
my 61st tomorrow thank you Maresca and the team!!

We could always play Reece James at CM. DM.

The idea is players don't get injured and the manager works with a smaller squad.

Yeah and Lavia is broken again. I'm gutted about this. He genuinely looks a different level if he can just stay fit. Does anyone know how bad it is?

Listened to the game on 5 Live whilst doing the garden. After a very tight first half was a very enjoyable listen second half - actually looking forward to MOTD 2 tonight.

When we click, we are clearly going to cause teams a lot of problems, but are likely to concede goals more often than not so don't see too many clean sheets.

CHELSEA ARE BACK..................!!!

True. I enjoyed United's last minute defeat last night, now I'm actually looking forward to tonight's MOTD.

We might be on first !

You actually believe that it's only the fans on the Shedend that has made Chelsea a laughing stock ?

It's no different to any other club's fan site. Just fans with different opinions, . But if you actually believe our owners are blameless for the " laughing stock" insults, then you're entitled to that view.

There's no need to make a c**t of yourself though and insult Chelsea fans, but of course feel free.

Have a sh*t Sunday, all the best

Sanchez - 6 - Could have done with him trying to stop their set pieces, also scuffed a clearance in the 2nd half that could have gone anywhere. Get's an extra point for his part in our 2nd goal.

Gusto - 5 - Still hasn't got going this season. Very lucky not to get a second yellow. Struggling to adapt to reverting from a traditional RB to an inverted one.

Fofana - 6 - Some nice carries out of our area, but poor from set pieces.

Colwill - 6 - Nice last ditch defending, but like Fofana, poor from set pieces. I also thought he and Fofana were getting moved around far too much at times. Not sure if that was due to them or the midfield and inverted full backs causing issues.

Cucurella - 6 - Didn't really stand out as much as others today. Quiet by his standards, even if he got involved with a few of Wolves mind games.

Enzo - 7 - I would put his performance down as solid. Struggled a little at times in the first half, but was dictating a lot of our play from deep in the 2nd half.

Caicedo - 5 - Struggled badly in the first half, pretty much a 1 or 2 out of 10. 2nd half was better before going off injured.

Palmer - 8 - He's had a sluggish start and at times today, there was more of that. But as soon as he got a yellow card, it seemed to fire him up. His goal was typical Palmer quality and the 3 assists were nice too.

Mudryk - 4 - Just not happening for him. Can't see a way back in.

Madueke - 9 - Nearly a 10/10. Looked fired up from the first minute, Wolves were panicking every time he had the ball. He's improved his weaker foot and has confidence to use it, which has made him unpredictable for defenders and a big threat for us on the attack. Best game in a Chelsea shirt.

Jackson - 7 - Got a goal and an assist, which should be great, but he was also a massive annoyance again at times.

Subs:

Neto - 8 - Was a constant threat when he came on. An instant upgrade in attack and got himself his first assist too.

Felix - 8 - An excellent 2nd debut from him. His goal was top quality and probably my favourite attack of the game.

Dewsbury-Hall - 7 - Good when he came on, another who was a big part of Felix goal.

Veiga - 5 - Didn't have much time to make an impact.

Nkunku - 5 - Same as Veiga.
