Oscar - Little Diamond

Featured Replies

Exactly. We've scored 63 goals in the league this season. Bayern have scored 71 and Real Madrid have scored 87.....in fewer games than us.

Excellent point.

Will the real Oscar please stand up!

No one really knows who's real Oscar.

Is the the brilliant footballer who can score with outside of his foot or is the creativeless player who is just got on the team recently. Who knows.

I said it shortly after he came on. I always think we're a better side with him in the side. I think he helps win the ball back a lot more than he's given credit for (even though that's a lot) and he doesn't lose possession nearly as much as people think.

He has lost the ball plenty of times this season, due to a bad touch and a lot of hesitation.

Don't mean to be a twat but I think he is still way off his game, didn't look comfortable on the ball when coming on, looked edgy, played a part in the goal I know that, but I hope he's on the bench again next week.

Have to disagree with him looking uncomfortable on the ball - he was one of the few today that wanted to collect and get the ball moving on the ground. I don't think anyone could suggest he's at the top of his game right now, but he's still (in my opinion) a starter in our strongest eleven.

Just curiosity - who would you have starting instead next weekend?

one of those players where you dont realise his quality until he's not there. the difference today when he came on just showed that he is a positive player for us, deserves to be starting and deserves more credit than he gets

Improved us after he came on. We definitely need him to play a role for games to come, Willian is consistently being himself, Curaddo is not ready yet by the look of him, it's all about Hazard these days.

I think around the penalty area and when he has little time to think, he is very good. It's when he has time to make a decision where it all goes wrong. If you look back at Oscar's best moments they come from quick thinking.

Oscar is an alright player, but he is far from the complete player yet. I actually hope we don't sell him in the summer, he's still very young and has plenty of time to improve.

Well, Ramires is pretty useless when he doesn't have space to run with the ball, so it's hard not to look better than him. With Cuadrado looking shot of confidence, playing Oscar back into some sort of form looks like our only option. I think Ramires will start next week too though, but that should be a game more suited to him.

He did f**k up a pass when we had a good counter attack situation.

I think all the attackers were guilty of that at least once yesterday, I remember Willian and Hazard hitting some nasty passes when we were looking to break and I think Cuadrado killed a counter with under hit pass when he came on too.

I've mentioned it a few times already but it really wasn't a good playing surface yesterday.

I would go with exactly the same line up except with hopeully Remy up front instead of Drogba should he be fit.

Wasn't sure whether to post this in the Fabregas or Oscar thread but I've plumped for this one.

I do think our midfield is flawed and I do think Oscar is being asked to work too hard.

What do you guys think .. ?

Think they make an extremely good point.

Said for ages we need a strong combative midfielder next to Matic.
