One of those with huge potential, maybe, who never reached the heights they should have when put in a top team. He's probably found his level now at 26 or 27 or whatever he is
February 6, 20197 yr Hasn't Gelson Martins just been shipped out of Atletico for being sh*t? Not the best choice you could have made for this point. He was great in the Portuguese league and looked class but wasn't given a chance by Simeone at Athletico. I don't think it cost a lot for Monaco to get him and age is still at his side, I will be willing to take that risk on one of the most talented wingers in the world. Well, let's wait till he pick form at Monaco and when we are ready to sign him for 40m, PSG beats us to it.
February 6, 20197 yr I think Zaha is a good shout (although I was mocked when throwing his name about pre-season!!) It will be a bit ludicrous that we would probably have to pay CPFC something in the region of £70M and might only get £100M (only!) for Hazard who we all know is on a different level, but I think he is very decent and would give us pace along with CHO (assuming we can keep him).I don't think Zaha is in anyway better than CHO except for experience. Put Zaha in the same team with CHO and you will get more goals and assist from CHO than Zaha. Even Townsend seems like a better player to Zaha in Palace. Signing Zaha simply shows a lack of ambition because the guy can only offer pace, apart from that he has no end product and he is too inconsistent to play for a top team. And I can't stand his arrogance.
February 6, 20197 yr Zaha... okay. The hype seems to have died down ever since they started clamping down on his diving. Will be interesting how he does now he is back to the wings with Batshuayi upfront.
February 6, 20197 yr How do we wonder why young players don't want to stay around when we are already counting players to replace Hazard when he goes.
February 6, 20197 yr Zaha is all fart and no sh*t, flatters to deceive far too much. If people hate Willians inconsistency then Zaha will drive them round the bend.
February 6, 20197 yr Would be happy to have Zaha but I think the only long term replacement is Ousmane Dembele. He can play on the left and the right and is a wonderful player. We would be set on the wings for years if we had him and Hudson Odoi terrorising defences. He started slowly at Barcelona and I don't think the Barcelona board are a big fan of him despite his recent upturn in performances. Only problem, he would cost about 120m.
February 6, 20197 yr I think a punt on Coutinho is needed, he was excellent at loserpool, A bit of a player as well, so would appease the fans maybe

He's a brilliant player but we need them to fit Sarri's football.

Oh I don't want him as Hazard's replacement, would be a major downgrade. I was talking as a replacement for Willian but I suppose you could say, that's Pulisic.
February 6, 20197 yr I see this differently I don't think we should go in for Zaha yet he is dangerous around the box. He has good movement and normally gets decent shot on target. He seems less productive this season yet he is probably missing RLC. The thing is with Hazard going (probably?) is that we may not strengthen sufficiently in his position yet strengthen more in another position.

Zaha is overhyped and his nationality will probably come with an extra 20 million on his price, I wouldn't even bother spending a penny on him tbh, we can do better.

Zaha can be frustrating but has single handedly kept Palace up season after season. His end product needs working on but he terrorizes defenders game after game. Zaha was not ready for that United move but he really has kicked on now and if you put him in a bigger team such as Arsenal, I think he would thrive on the bigger scene. Although Townsend has improved hugely, Zaha is still their best player. I am a huge fan of CHO and think he can be a top, top player but your stating they are on the same level when CHO has only had limited first team opportunities. Zaha has proven himself in the league as maybe not a world class player but a very good player, albeit very inconsistent. Has CHO got a higher ceiling than Zaha? Yes. Is he better than Zaha right now? No.

February 6, 20197 yr Real Madrid confident they can seal Eden Hazard deal for less than £100million with Isco or Marco Asensio heading to Chelsea as Premier League club lose hope of keeping Belgian star. #CFC #RMCF (Mail) Eden Hazard's move to Real Madrid has been dubbed the 'Courtois Plan' in Spain with the player running down his contract under assurances from the Spanish club that they will do everything they can to make a transfer happen. #CFC #RMCF (Mail) While Mateo Kovacic is an obvious makeweight for Eden Hazard, Chelsea also like highly valued Marco Asensio, who may be forced to consider his future with Hazard earmarked for his favoured left wing position. #CFC #RMCF (Mail) Chelsea like Leon Bailey at Bayer Leverkusen though he has struggled for form lately and could explore Real Madrid's squad options in negotiations for Hazard. #CFC #B04 #RMCF

February 7, 20197 yr Yeah surely we’re primed to try include Isco or Asensio in the deal. They are tasty players.
