The John Terry Appreciation Thread

Featured Replies

I wonder if he will get the same send off Gerrard got on Sky. I won't be counting on it, but he deserves so much more. Gerrard never won a single Premier League trophy, Terry has won many, he is much more of a Premier League legend than Gerrard was.

I just asked Lamps and he said no

Ahh so many wonderful memories and not enough words to express them and my gratitude to this man. Father time has caught up to us. He is the last man standing, the final piece of our golden era.

The loss of jt, added to those that went before him, is why we have become a softer touch. May take us a long time to recover from this. Our last leader, our captain, leader and legend.

A wonderful player and a great leader and servant of the club. I hope that we win the title before the last game of the season and JT can play in the game against Sunderland and we can give him a great send-off. He deserves it.

Just like Drogba, Terry loved to score goals against Arsenal.

Very proud to have been there for his first goal. I'll miss this man.

Very sad to hear this. Last of the old guard and the last generation of players with guts and true mental strength when it matters. A winner through and through. Thanks for the memories J T. CAPTAIN, LEADER, LEGEND.

I will miss the Blue #26, but I will remember all of the good times (yes there are a few bad ones but I have already forgave him)

My totally favorite JT moment is during the UCL run of 2004 - 05 when he scored the decider for the tie vs Barca - I was in a bar at the time & yelled to the screen, "JT this is your ball" - it was like he heard me & bashed the ball into the back of the net with a tremendous header

All good things come to an end. Great servent to our club, will be a while before a player/captain will make that amount of appearances or be as successful. Don't begrudge him moving on to play elsewhere, had already taken a pay cut this year. Says he wants to carry on playing, everyone should accept his decision to go and play elsewhere.

Full of scouse w**kers on those bbc comment sections..

The BBC only add a comments section where it suits them. You only need to read the article which says he made his debut, was banned for offending Americans in a hotel, won some stuff but racially abused someone thus missing the champions league final (which I'm sure isn't even right - wasn't he missing for the red card in the semi?)

The BBC sports staff are c**ts - and that's precisely what they mean to be.

I wonder if similar articles for Giggs' dwelled on him smashing in the back door of his brothers wife? I expect they didn't.

Anyway, thanks John, it's been a blast.

We are all fortunate to have been following Chelsea in the John Terry era. Seems the time of the one club man is over and that's a great shame but it's also hard to see how anyone could better the leadership and outstanding contribution that John Terry has made to this football club year after year.

I hope we are in a position to lift the title at home to Sunderland (or even Watford!) and we get to see JT wearing blue on the field of play to lift the trophy once again.

I do have to agree with Neville and Carragher on the timing been weird.

Well is more gutting than our defeat yesterday so maybe distracts us from wallowing in it? Do not know mate it is odd. Certainly don't make me feel any better knowing jt is going and we still the invisible man.

A legend! Chelsea through and through and one of our own. The last legend to leave from that great title winning side under Mourhino. A very sad day but hopefully he will be back here before very long in at least some capacity.

Thanks JT for your leadership, your quality and for all the success you gave us. Good luck in all you do from here on in.
