July 8, 20179 yr For a technical director, Emenalo has done nothing of late to improve much of anything. We keep on signing youths from all over the country and then sell them to various clubs each with inconsistent fees. The playing style of the club from the youth team to the senior team isn't the same so the youth players then couldn't properly integrate into the first team thus leading to sale of youth with potential. Allowing rivals to bid on first team players and considering it in the first place. I cannot see the long term vision that he has set for this football club seeing as we go through managers per 3 season max. At least come out and address the fans, I wouldn't mind him going out and say we'll buy players or promote the youth to achieve our ambitions. I don't mind stockpiling youth as a secondary source of income but at least show the fans that we do have a long term goal in mind.
July 8, 20179 yr I think atm Emenalo is hated. He buys Morata or someone prolific and people get off his back.
July 8, 20179 yr Although I do hate Emenalo, I don't think the Lukaku thing is on him. He just gives the name. Marina and others negotiate the deals. They are the ones who screwed up.

July 8, 20179 yr when he does anything right, he's a god, when he does something wrong he's the worst human on earth. typical fickle football fans.
July 8, 20179 yr Its not his fault, remember he was the one who bought Lukaku and KDB in the first place. The biggest problem is the person who didn't put buyback clauses when they sold them.

Some reports suggesting Mourinho advised against inserting a buy-back clause on the Lukaku sale, which I find hard to believe, but if true, ultimately it was up to the board.

August 17, 20178 yr Remind me......Who was the bloke who went to Italy in the summer of 2016 and done the deal to bring Conte in as our manager / coach or whatever title he has ....Or am I missing something ???
August 17, 20178 yr And no doubt, Roman has already asked this same bloke to scout around for a suitable replacement for Conte......just in case we decide to sack him......however I don't think we will need to sack him......as Conte's contract purportably expires in only ten months time. The Media circus will move on to Whose being lined up to take over from Conte, as soon as they get bored with the Costa Circus ! For me...it's Never a dull moment supporting Chelsea ! August 17, 20178 yr The bottom line is that ME has a lot of pressure on his broad shoulders ......so far Roman's model of sacking managers has been rewarded with Silverware............I think we need to look more closely at what Marina G is doing regarding players contracts etc

August 17, 20178 yr Well we can safely conclude this time its not the managers fault, so whose next up on the ladder.
August 18, 20178 yr a lot of very good managers have gone and he is still there. i maybe wrong but don't we have good scouts all over the world and in all probabilities even people on here will be able to identify the potential especially with the expertise going at the bridge. the way i see it conte is the manager and he will express which players he wants and it is upto the people behind the scenes to get on with it and not the other way round. he took a long look at victor moses who was already at the club and if he expresses concern about chalobah, ake and loftus-cheek leaving then we should be worried.
August 19, 20178 yr I think fans dislike Emanalo is because he came on the scene after Jose was sacked the first time & was promoted as first team coach when Grant was "in charge". This for a man who at the time had no coaching badges or experience apart from being in charge of a girls U12 team. Since then we've had success but also seen managers unfairly sacked, like Carlo. None of us will ever know for sure what goes on behind the scenes, what i will say is though our transfer policy the last 6/7 years has been baffling at times, particularly with us selling & buying forwards. We bought Torres when he wasnt needed & sacrificed the PL title for 5 years while accommodating a non scoring forward, this after only a year of us winning the double while scoring goals for fun-103, with Drogba, Anelka, Kalou, Sturridge, as our forwards. When Jose returned he also persevered with Torres with us missing out on another title, the following season Torres was sold & we won the title. In recent years we've persevered with going in to campaigns very light up front & made some strange signings, Eto, Ba, Falco, Pato to name a few. Now whether Emanalo is to blame for this no one knows but what i will say is someone behind the scenes is making these deceisions i cant be the only one to think that no experienced manager would be happy to have a squad so light up front? last season it was lucky Costa didnt get injured because if he had we'd have to have relied on Michy Batshuayi, a player who'd hardly played. Here we are again another season going in to a campaign light up front, hopefully Morata will become a great goalscorer for us but should anything happen like he struggles for form or gets injured we're back to only having Michy Batshuayi to call upon, that isnt good enough for a club of our size & with also CL football this season. Someone is calling the shots behind the scenes, maybe its only Roman? maybe i'm in a time warp but personally i'd like our managers to be allowed to manage with no interference from behind.
November 6, 20178 yr What the f**k, this came out of nowhere! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/11/06/michael-emenalo-quits-chelsea-major-blow-roman-abramovich/
November 6, 20178 yr While i am pleased he has gone - my initial worry is that what if a riff between him and Conte has caused this? One of Roman's allies quitting wont go down too well i imagine. However, he has completed his coaching badges and licenses so maybe he is just after a manager job somewhere? Pure speculation at this point obviously until we know more.
