Allowed us to push Reece into midfield when bringing on Dave. Getting Reece on the ball is much more important than bringing on anyone we had available on the bench imo.

Something Reece should do more, he is sublime on the ball, he is what RLC should be.

He has his flaws, there's no doubt. But he's been an important player for us, still.

It's the 90th minute of the game, we are trailing 0-1. The ball drops to one of our players just inside the box for a shot. Who would you want to be the player striking the ball? Lukaku? Mount? Pulisic? Ziyech? Havertz? Werner? or Alonso?

My money's on Alonso 9 times out of 10 .

Never been his biggest fan but the amount of disrespect he gets is crazy, when he leaves the club his time at us should be deemed a massive success, he’s scored a lot of important goals for us and played a big role in successful seasons we’ve had

Sure, but chances are that's he's been highly involved in us being 0-1 down in the first place.

Personally think Alonso's finishing has been off this season though love it when it comes together for him as he is an imperious finisher.

He is obviously a pretty good finisher and decent enough in the air too. Give him the number shirt 9 against Watford. What have we got to lose? Might just be the prod that Lukaku and Werner need to piss off.

Chilwell got injured this season in November/ December time meaning Alonso has had to play pretty much every week since with little rest or cover, and all things considered I don't think he has done too badly. 

Now is 100% the right time to move him on, but I do think his time and contributions here have been broadly positive. (He has had a few stinkers but who hasnt?)

I do think we will miss his goal contributions, and certainly his threat from set pieces. I think we now only have Ziyech who can take free kicks and I don't think he has scored one for us yet.

There is a belief Barca will be looking to make a formal bid for Marcos this week or next guys. Apparently we wanted €13m but €10m may be enough since we're open to compromise, he wants to leave so we won't stand in his way. 

There is a chance he comes with us in US 🇺🇸  tour and then is sold once we return.

For all the stick hes gotten over the years, hes actually been a fantastic player for the club, back to when we won the league under conte. Good luck to him.

Marcus been one of those players that frustrate you but has some sheer brilliance inside of him. We’ve all “joked” about him being a no. 9 but in fairness, idk why he wasn’t put in that position by someone out of sheer “f**k it”-ness at Chelsea since 2016

He not worried they might not be able to register him? Clearly Dave was.

I always like Alonso. Offer goal threat in wb position like no other, unbelievable left foot, and he is very strong in the air in both boxes. He received tons of sh*t from fans due to his speed but that never bother me, he is not considered to be a star or nailed down starter material so who cares about few weakness. 

 

 

Yep I like Alonso, rarely injured, good in attack.

He’s had some fantastic moments hasn’t he. Been a great buy for the club. 

I always rated him and often thought the fans gave him harsh and undeserved critisism.
