December 5, 20187 yr Not content with playing as badly as Torres, Morata now decides to sport the same ‘hard man’ shaved head which Torres also ended up with ... didn’t stop either of them always getting knocked off the ball by almost any defender! ... and how much did we spend on that goalkeeper??
December 5, 20187 yr How many more assists does Emerson have to provide Giroud with before we actually try to keep that as a constant?! Tactically it’s looking a mess.
December 5, 20187 yr I am the only one who saw Rudi walking for the second goal? Love the guy but he was so laxed for the second goal while the wolves player busting a gut to get in the box to score.

Not exactly top of the world form is it. Just needs to go - he doesn't want to be here. Come on now... I get it, he hasn't been great lately but he's still by far our best player, don't be silly.
December 6, 20187 yr Pisses me off to put this, but I see so many similarities with Sarri, Scolari & AVB it’s unreal! This is the PL not Italy, not Portugal, not Spain or France! Our football is different, pacey, defence, strength! Pep adapted, Klopp adapted, can Sarri adapt???
December 6, 20187 yr Dreadful appalling result. We've lost it for the season if we play like this against lower ranked teams. Truly dreadful.
December 6, 20187 yr 46 minutes ago, just said: Indeed. Backbone and bollocks are important and should be part of our transfer policy going forwards. The following should mean we will not sign a player: 1. Brightly coloured boots. 2. Curly hair. 3. Hair that has stripes shaved into it. 4. Any player that has been in a shampoo or mens grooming product commercial. 5. Tattoos - Not allowed except for a skull and cross bones or a bulldog on the forearm. 6. Defenders who can't defend but can pass. 7. Strikers who can't strike but can defend. If the pass they above criteria we then apply the backbone and bollocks tests. Firstly, an X-ray to ascertain if they have a backbone. And then a visual check from a medically qualified tea-lady to determine the size of bollocks they have and their resistance to shriviling. This is measured by the reaction of the bollocks to damp and cold and Delle Ali repeatedly calling them a w**ker while he sneaks in at the back post and kicks them in the bollocks. If they pass the above we give them the Captaincy and look for 10 more made of the same stuff. we had a team like that once in the late 60's early 70's lead by 'Chopper Harris' .......don't make em like they used to

Yep, love the guy also but get your head up and focus, the ball is on the edge of your penalty box.. only watched it once but was it Christensen pulling his socks up while play was going on? You are taught at a very young age to play to the whistle, very sloppy goal to concede..

The same when we played Spuds. people are highlighting individual players deficiencies but if a team wants to beat Chelsea they just have to out muscle us This evening we were too pedestrian and communication between the players was poor. people have said Cheek played well but he was absent in the second half, although he was not the only one the fans who made the effort tonight deserved better been saying this for weeks...we are soft in the middle and at the back (save and except Rudiger) no one to step up and put a crunching tackle in and take the game by the scruff of the neck and to boss the middle of the park...i.e. Ballack, Essien, Wise and even Lamps.
December 6, 20187 yr The most worrying thing is Arsenal and Spurs both look much better than us. It's hard not to fear a 5th place finish (and the loss of important players that would ensue). Hazard's out of form, so there's no one left to paper over the attacking cracks. And as has been the case all season, we're conceding to many clear cut chances to our opponents. City will smash us.
December 6, 20187 yr Just got back that second half performance was horrendous, totally bullied off the ball, our players knocking the ball about like we was 3 or 4 up not losing with 20 to go. A sense of urgency is required alonso needs to be dropped when the opposition has pace like that, exposed so many times. Morata, where do I start, he is just not good enough for Chelsea. It was embarrassing how many times he went down and as for the chance he missed straight after halftime words fail me. another worrying thing is our lack of a plan B, like for like subs all the time and nothing different tactically. anyway rant over, more points dropped because we don’t have a striker that can finish. Lets hope they try some different on Saturday because city will tear that 433 to pieces, not that I’m suggesting we do a conte and don’t come out are half goodnight all

Hazard is Hazard, he's a brilliant footballer, but will always go through periods where he doesn't play at his best. The injury has definitely had an effect on him, he was flying before then. What we should be doing is looking for others to step up when he can't.
December 6, 20187 yr Awful first half. But I didn't think we'd blow it so spectacularly after the break. We're in worse shape than I thought Willian had a terrible game. Blew our best chances. Screwed up for the first goal. Morata is looking like a lost cause. Giroud not much better. Kante looked hopelessly lost. Azpi and Alonso were all over the shop. We really screwed up being lumbered with a pair of mediocre strikers and an ageing pair of wingers. Christensen's confidence looks shot. Cahill is off. Luiz is an accident waiting to happen. The team is broken. Sarri has got a huge job on his hands just to stop us sliding down the table. Never mind trying to mould this lot into an attractive footballing side. What a mess.
December 6, 20187 yr In some ways, this feels worse than Spurs...we were on top, had chances to kill it and contrived to lose to a bang average team who had two shots on target. I'm assuming we lose to city on Saturday so that's three defeats in four - wheels coming off for Sarri at chelsea already?

Hazard is the one that makes things happen, the invention in the team. It annoys me that no one else takes the sort of responsibility he does. Kovacic, after a bright start, has gone into his shell. Why? I don't know, because he has the pace and skill to make things happen as well. Overall, I was disappointed with Loftus -Cheek's contribution last night. With his ability, he should have been scaring the sh*t out of their suspect defence, but it didn't happen.
December 6, 20187 yr Seems like a lifeless limp performance. Another case of a poor time-zone being a blessing in disguise then.
December 6, 20187 yr Let’s switch back to 3-4-3, bring Moses back in and get some points back. f**k it, Conte used this tactic to great effect, Sarri clearly doesn’t know what team is our best right now. Change something FFS. City will destroy us.
December 6, 20187 yr 7 hours ago, enigma said: It not his fault we have a striker who can't score. Despite him wanting Higuain. A LB in alonso who is useless. On top of that we have average players like Willian stealing a living. The rest of them are taking a while to learn the system. We all knew it would take time for the system to come good, but havinga handful of players who aren't as good as we thought makes Sarri’s job a lot tougher. Why having a squad at all if you're not going to use it when the first teamers are struggling? If Willian isn't up to it, Sarri's got Pedro on the bench and Hudson Odoi in the stands. If Alonso is off form, then why isn't Emerson getting any playing time? The players should realize there are no guarantees, otherwise they become compacent. I agree that Morata is a major headache, but it's Sarri's job to motivate the players. He's been too predictable in his choices and not flexible enough. Edited December 6, 20187 yr by abramovich

December 6, 20187 yr Author At least these defeats are coming the right side of the winter transfer window.
December 6, 20187 yr Well, it was a disappointing performance. Credits to Wolves for not giving up and pushing forward to grab 2 goals. we made a lot of passes but nothing more than that. It's so hard to play and success without a striker, we didn't deserve to take any point today let's be honest. The whole team was awful, RLC, Azpi and Rudiger were the positives. Afraid to think about the game against City,We are all disappointed but to say we didn’t deserve to take a point is ridiculous. They had 2 shots and 2 goals.
December 6, 20187 yr Disastrous performance and result, from No1 to 29, there was no player who could walk away from the game with any merit. The effort just not there, after we scored the goal we just cruised the game for 30 minutes when we should have took the game to them, not competing for the duels, not running , just gave the game away. The passing was sloppy, and nobody wanted to do anything with the ball, apart from the few runs from Hazard. 2 goals resulted from gifting away possession, although the second goal was resulted from foul play, Willian and his mates had chance to run back and get back into position, and they didn't. The last 15-20 was awful, had a target man and not 1 decent cross into the box. On the tactical side, Kante has to play his best position or we will keep losing game. Apart from Willian, he's the only 1 with goo work rate, yet we let the game pass him by having him out of position. The predictable changes were laughable, if we couldn't break their 3 defenders system with our best team, what's making like to like change without formation change going to solve? Enough rant, this is going to be a long season, better get used to losing more games.
December 6, 20187 yr It feels like I'm watching the same game/performances every time at the moment. The same players are making the same mistakes. The team are doing the same things over and over. We've regressed so much so quickly.
