Mod, Soul, Scooters is huge in England at the moment, and has been growing for the last 15 yrs year on year.. The away kit is tapping into that.

MOD?  Master Mod Stark?  Modulicious?  American?? Awa an wash yer mooth oot wi coal tar soap , ye wee bampot!!

Ah used to hae a scooter when I wis a wean!

Norn Iron is not really know for its Mod culture but I was on the boat from Belfast to Cairnryan during one of the May bank holidays and was surprised to see at least 50 mods on their scooters drive on board. So there must be some sort of revival. They did look cool I have to admit.

Don't know anything about the subject. All I know is, people who button the top button on their Polo's look ridiculous.

Amen to that. But it's highly entertaining to see quite a few - at the merest slight of a subculture - scrambling to earnestly overenhance the historical importance their precious gem, with the obligatory "you don't know what you're talking about" thrown in ?

To be fair only kids should wear football shirts to matches, have noticed in last few years it tends to be provisional clubs such as your Leicester's, Southampton's, Norwich's etc that have fanbases that wear replica shirts on mass, also Liverpool, Arsenal and City, are fully paid up members of the replica shirt brigade, thankfully our support mainly adopts the view that I grew  up with that you wear your best gear to a game.

Football has always had strong links with fashion and music.

Sadly we now have quite a few adults who wear replica tops. I have always thought it looks embarrassing to see a grown adult wearing such an item at a game but there you go. At last year’s league cup final there were loads of Chelsea replica tops at Wembley.

I think Wembley is always the place where most replica shirts come out, but it is a cup final and a day out, so maybe more of an excuse, each to their own I suppose.

The Chelsea Foundation do a football academy at for our summer camp every year for loads of rich as f**k foreign kids.

They all come kitted out in Chelsea clobber every year and today one had the new away shirt on.

It actually looks alright in the flesh without the stupid collar done up. It just looks sh*te on the trendy hipster, buttoned up to their eye brows photo shoot bollocks the club did :laugh2:

For me a cup final is when everyone should wear blue. Otherwise wear what you want. It's never really bothered me.

I like seeing a sea of blue as well. I still cherish my semifinal memory at Wembley when we beat Arsenal. After the match, the left colomn towards the tube station was a bouncy-bouncy blue mass, the right colomn was a slouching red mess

Replica shirts are just ghastly. As naff as it’s possible to be. Have never worn one home or away in over 40 years of going.

One exception was the Pompey Cup Final when I wore a retro 60’s one. At least it was made of cotton rather than some synthetic sh*te, but I regretted it straight away- felt like a right sheep.

Does anyone know if the Stadium Shirts are Athletic fit or Standard Fit?  I ask because I usually get XL for Nike, except the 2018-2019 kit is a standard fit and I am a L in that.

I want my Pulisic shirt but don't want to waste any more money on failed shirt purchases.

Liking the new training tops - the navy top. Beautiful thing. No sponsors or bulls on it either.

I rather like them too, might have to buy one for the gym :good2:

Any word on that supposed 3rd black kit? It looked real sexy, but I don’t really buy shirts, I think they’re a bit immature if you’re over a certain age but, as a grown woman I’m tempted.. it’s the mid life crisis starting.. ?

It’ll probably be released in time for the next home game. The tourists have had their time to get the home and away kit now.

I got one of the training tops on Sunday now I just need to get to the gym :laugh2:

Weird to have a shirt just for the FA cup. What if we get knocked out first round?

But that kit deserves any excuse
